First things first, is that I went up to where the torch was lying awake, still igniting even though it was at the ground. After a quick selection process had been confirmed earlier, those who wanted to stand at the upper areas, they decided to follow behind me when I traversed through the dangerous path that we could fall off from at any time with just a little slip.
Because of how difficult the path is to cross, it took me quite a while to get to the top. I found that to be no problem however, as it was better for me to have made it up safely rather than to have slipped and fallen due to haste.
"I'll Be right back." I said while looking at the people who were close to kissing the wall. Immediately after saying, I rushed towards the teleportation area.
"It should be around here…" I muttered to myself before kicking the dust below my feet.
Before I could continue to move my feet aggressively, so that the drawing would appear more visible, I was met with the void. Just like the usual, I had to wait a bit of a while before I was teleported to the town.
When I arrived, I did not waste even a second, as a lot of time had already been wasted, knowing that it takes a while to be free from the void even though it doesn't seem too long.
At times like these where I could hurry up without having to be careful, I naturally made haste. I could not let the others wait too long for me, to the point that they might think I'm dead or kidnapped again.
As the center was a bit far from where the teleportation area is, it was quite a hassle to be running. My body was quite not familiar with cardio, which is why I ended up so exhausted by the time I had all of the bowls with me at the teleportation area.
The process of retrieving bowls and bringing them through teleportation didn't take too long in general, all thanks to my quick and decisive movements. After arriving back in the dark and spacious cave, I immediately left the teleportation circle as I made my way towards the side of the cliff where the others were.
Three meters far from the closest person, that's where I placed my bowls. As for why I didn't pass the bowls to the guy right immediately, that's because I wanted to do something before that. I wanted to take my shirt off…
I took my shirt off because of the fabric that it was made of. The fabric was cotton, or at least something similar, so it was easy for me to rip it into multiple pieces of cloth. As for why I suddenly started ripping off my clothes, that's because I needed an alternative to strings that I could use to tie up two bowls together.
Tying up the bowls together was necessary. I thought so because I needed something to store the insects in, so Sutow and Brolee could pass up the insects they gathered without having the others get bitten or have them lose or drop the majority of the insects in their hands while climbing. Why the bowl was very necessary is because one would be able to climb more easily with it, as they could place the bowl down on the ground that they have to climb up to.
This is exactly what happened after I had set up the bowls. Of course, I had to teach the first guy how to tie an easy knot before passing the bowl to him, and he had to teach the next person how to tie the knot. The following people, all the way to Sutow, all taught each other how to tie a knot. The process took quite a while, however, it was worth it. After all, the task to bring the insects to me without losing any of them on their way to me, was very important. We could not fail, nor could we afford such small mistakes that would just slow down the completion of my plan and possibly ruin it.
"Sigh…" I stretched my body a little while in a random house within the town. It's been more than an hour since I've been bringing bowls from one place to another, from the cave to the town... I was growing tired, and I'm pretty sure the others were too. Unfortunately, we could not afford rest. Not yet at least. Not until the process of moving enough insects to the town is completed. After all, we had to have enough rations for the many days that we'll be under surveillance.
At the moment, while stretching my arms and back a little, I was in one of the houses near the center, about to do the same thing that I've been doing for at least an hour already. I placed the insects I had with me in the dark and damp corners of the building, or in the stacks of hay. At last, the building's upper and lower floors were now riddled with insects.
With that little task done, it was time for me to return to the teleportation area. I got out of the building, which to the left side of its doorway, lay the empty bowls that I had brought with me after emptying each one of them in a different building. Gathering these bowls along with the bowl that I had in hand already, I then started walking towards the location of the teleportation circle.
In the midst of walking I suddenly stopped. I was reminded of the time as I was trying to estimate how much time has been wasted already. Clocks were non-existent in this town, but there was one way for me to look at the time. That was to stop and to look at the light that was coming from the center of the top. If there was no light, that would mean that it's already been half a day since I had woken up earlier today.
"It's still day… It can't be the next day already though. I'm still up and awake…"
