A quarter of an hour, half an hour, more than an hour. To drive back towards the flower shop, a long and tedious distance had to be crossed. Bruno was right. Using the roads did indeed take quite a while, even without much danger in the way. If there was danger to overcome, the trip back to the flower shop would have certainly taken way longer.
Perhaps using the sewer's tunnels to find the way back to the shop would've taken less time, if there was indeed danger. Luckily, there wasn't much danger. The decision that Bruno proceeded to go with seemed to be the best, apparent, because going through the tunnels would have actually taken longer because of how unfamiliar he is with the sewer system, and because of the fact that his anxiety was all for naught.
"Hey, isn't that your wife?" Joia, who couldn't recognize Roger's wife all too well because of her unfamiliarity with her, could only guess and question for reassurance.
