The fact that Hazel was hesitating and chewing on my neck instead of piercing it immediately, was sure painful. It was not like the simple pain of a knife where a wound is created immediately and without much mental trauma. It was painful, and Hazel just had to be quite the talker too when we were nearing death's door.
The pain of receiving blunt damage, the stress of falling from a great height, and the clumsy Hazel who couldn't do as told immediately when what I told her was a matter of life and death. It sure frustrated me and I was so close to giving up on life already. But I didn't. Especially when I started feeling Hazel draining blood out of my neck.
"That's right. Just like that. Make sure to keep us afloat. Only when you feel way better, that's when you should focus back on bringing us to the surface." I instructed, while also making sure that Hazel would be calm.
