He asked me, but the mere fact that his arm is draped around her slender form, pulls my attention away from his question. This isn't fair! I'm not supposed to be jealous, because when she was out of reach I've made my choice by choosing Valese. My feelings for her could only make everything a thousand times more complicated. "You know it man, I'm all fired up!" I flared back in the most positive way that I could muster, under the circumstances.
Trying my upmost best to hide this feeling that's been brewing within me ever since our eyes met that day at the tournament. "Babe, I know that you've been training hard for this, but perhaps you should sit this one out. It's going to be ugly, bloody and dangerous and I won't be able to protect you out there," Trunks' question sounded rhetorical. Before he could even reach the end of his plea, she started shaking her head, signalling a clear response. "I'm staying; you can't get rid of me that easily. I'm a big girl Trunks, I can take care of myself," she stated.
That's precisely what I've been expecting to hear. Trunks kissed the top of her head, with a sad expression, before walking off to where his father stood waiting.

Four out of the five misfits was defeated within a heartbeat, yet the one lurking within the shadows seems to be more of a challenge. Still not giving me and Trunks or any of the others any reason to use our special ability, the fusion technique. We defeated it all: The squad, the ship and everyone aboard with little fuss. letting me wonder what all the fuss was about, but I'm not that naive to think that all's good. As predicted within no time; a second squad filed down around us like a plague of grasshoppers.
"Goten wouldn't you please ask Mells to leave? I really don't trust this feeling," Trunks pleaded as he took his stand beside me. "What makes you think that she would listen to me if she didn't even listen to my father?" I asked. I know that I had promised my dad that I would talk her out of it when the time is right, and there doesn't seem to be a more perfect time then right now!
