With the magnum pointed for the scientist's head, he pulled the trigger as it fired, dispersing the shadows he hid within. A bullet encased in sublime light pierced through the foul air of the lair, seeking the unaware scholar's head.
Though it was a set shot, the projectile of burning radiance was brought to a complete halt as a protective dome of electricity revealed itself around the idle scientist.
