From the shadows, a gang of ebon imps jumped out, plentiful in numbers and rambunctious.
"Hya-hya!"
"Gek-gek-gek!"
The wave of imps flooded forth as a cackling wave as the small-statured creatures endured the hail of bullets. It was a seemingly endless wave as the imps pushed outward, multiple getting reduced to smithereens by the gunner's continuous fire.
"Oh?--" Ace reacted, stopping his fire as steam exuded from his weapons' barrels.
A flicker imprinted itself through the fog, forcing the championed gunner to duck down and face his right, using his ruby-forged gun as a shield. It stopped a blade just short of reaching his neck, halted by a mere hair.
"Nice try. You'll have to be quicker than that, though–faster than a bullet–" Ace remarked with a thrilled smile, his star-shaped pupils glistening.
