Chapter 82 - Investigation

The damage done to the garden was the only evidence left of the Morris members that were slain. He brushed his hands through the stems of flowers, parting them as he surveyed the ground. 

As he parted the abundance of plants, a glistening object met his eyes, buried when the blades of grass. 

'There we go,' he thought in discovery. 

It was one of the needles used, carefully picked up without touching the pointy tip. He looked at it closely, finding the coating of potent substance still slick on it. 

'I'll have Frankenstein study this. A paralyzation effect capable of bypassing my resistances is something of a class of its own,' he thought, storing the sample within his personal inventory. 

There was still something amiss in the air, guiding him to continue his investigation as he ventured into the main lobby of the cafe itself.
