[Special Quest Scenario Completed]
[You dared to challenge the boundaries of your stomach, defying the natural laws of hunger. You endured till the final moment, refusing to succumb. To top it off, you consumed what should have been enough for ten people.]
[Because of this, you have unlocked a Supreme attribute: GLUTTONY.]
---
Vincent stared—blankly.
He had devoured ten servings of fried chicken. His hunger had vanished completely, leaving behind an unfamiliar sensation—one of invigoration.
For the first time in his entire life, he felt like he could go days without eating.
Was this some kind of special energy from consuming an absurd amount of food?
"Wait… how the hell did I even manage to eat ten servings of fried chicken?!"
His gaze snapped down to his stomach, a deep frown creasing his face.
He was a light eater. Always had been. And given his broke-ass lifestyle, he took pride in that fact.
Being able to consume that much was not something he ever thought possible.
Not in a million years.
But more than that—this.
This.
[You have completed the quest.]
[You have gained a reward.]
[Due to a rare quest scenario, you have unlocked the Supreme Attribute: GLUTTONY.]
His fingers tightened.
"Okay… looks like this thing is really serious."
Even if he had wanted to ignore it, he couldn't.
The floating blue panel in front of his eyes was real.
And now, the next question stood—
"Who are you? What do you want from me?"
No response.
He felt stupid talking to a floating thing in the air.
Then—another panel flickered to life beside it.
---
[You have gained the title: 'Little Heir.']
Title Description: You have been chosen to walk the path of a vile existence. You have no choice but to tread this road, for you begged for it. Do not hope for retribution, for your fate is to consume, destroy, and digest.
Title Effect: You will gain random rewards for astonishing acts of evil you commit.
---
Vincent's frown deepened.
What… the hell?
Had he been… chosen to become evil?
Why did that sound so damn interesting?
A slow, amused smile crept onto his lips—before he froze.
"Wait—what the hell am I thinking?"
He shook his head furiously.
Who in their right mind would get excited over a holographic panel and a strange voice declaring them evil?
Then again…
"Who?"
Vincent's eyes widened slightly.
"Does this mean… I'm special?"
He blinked.
Then—he laughed.
A dry, self-deprecating chuckle.
No.
He knew better than to think that way.
"Special?"
That was exactly the kind of delusion that people in power fed to the weak.
A false sense of hope.
And he hated it.
He lowered his gaze back to the panels.
But this…
This was real.
And so was the pain.
If he hadn't eaten, he probably would've died.
His fingers twitched.
A long exhale.
"Fine."
His voice was quiet but firm.
"Let's see just how real this is."
He hesitated, feeling foolish, but pressed forward anyway.
"Open the rewards."
---
[Access Granted.]
[Revealing Rewards.]
[Card Name: Oh! Here's My Coffee!!]
[Card Grade: Common]
[Card Type: Utility]
[Description: Once every 48 hours, you can summon a perfect cup of coffee that instantly refreshes and removes exhaustion.]
---
Vincent raised a brow.
"Hell no. There's no way this is real—"
The card floated before him.
Its pale blue glow stood in contrast to the electric blue of the panels. The name was boldly inscribed, while the description sat beneath it.
His disbelief shattered.
"This much is already impossible… what else will be?"
Vincent let out a slow breath before raising a hand.
"Summon coffee."
…Nothing.
His expression darkened as he face-palmed.
[You can use a card by calling its name—internally or externally.]
His eyes lit up.
A grin.
Then—
"Oh! Here's my coffee!!"
POP.
A steaming white cup of coffee materialized in his hands.
Vincent's breath paused.
Even though he had expected it, it still sent a jolt of shock through him.
His fingers tightened around the warm ceramic.
"It… really happened. The coffee actually came!!"
He gently placed the cup on the table, brushing a hand over its smooth surface.
"It's real."
His mind raced.
'Think. Think. Think.'
If this was real—
Then his life just changed.
Everything about him could be different.
He could earn rewards just by completing quests.
He could become strong enough to fight back.
His eyes gleamed.
His fingers clenched into fists.
"Okay, Blue! Let's do this!"
"I'll complete every single one of your quests—"
"And in return, you'll make me strong enough to destroy those bastards who bullied me!"
His voice rang with determination.
The system remained silent.
Vincent felt stupid again.
But this time—he didn't care.
He grabbed the coffee and gulped it down.
The rich, bold flavor exploded on his tongue, far superior to any instant coffee he had ever had.
By the time he finished, the empty cup dissolved into thin air.
"Makes sense… I was already wondering where the mug would go."
Vincent sat on his bed, thinking.
This was the best thing to ever happen to him.
But if he was going to make the most of it—
He needed to use Blue to its fullest.
He rubbed his hands together.
"Alright, Blue. What else should I know?"
