Chapter 31 - Inappropriate

"That was Cruel," Zolink said as he rubbed his hand over his left eye and then looked down to his left hand.

"It's a finely crafted weapon, where did you get it," Zolink asked looking back at Kruxe.

"When did you take it "was all Kruxe could stammer out, as he was just realizing that he was no longer with his gun.

"After I let you shoot me," Zolink said.

"I saw what you did with Maruge, it was a rather unique death, just how did you manage to shove your gun into his head?"

Kruxe's mouth opened and closed several times, but nothing came out, his shock at the sudden events being one of the reasons, but the main one was that he was busy raging in his mind.

"Hey the gun you gave me is useless, give me something better."

[No, the gun that was gifted to you is enough]

"What do you mean enough, don't you know what just happened? I fired the gun and all my two precious bullets could do was cause an itch, an itch, how do you call such a weapon appropriate."

[The weapon is appropriate, the issue is that your opponent is stronger]

"That's what I'm trying to say", Kruxe screamed in his mind with frustration, "he's too strong, and that makes the gun very inappropriate"

[No the weapon is appropriate]

Kruxe was just about to give a rebuttal when he suddenly stopped.

Kruxe would have kept up with the argument if not for the that his mother who had been silently sobbing to the side had suddenly reached out of her cage and grabbed Zolink's arm after seeing the man be unscathed despite her son's best efforts to kill him.

Amelia had begun begging him to spare Kruxe, promising to do anything if he would just let him go, when Zolink got fed up with her pleas and casually moved his hand, throwing her to the other side of the cage, where she slammed into the hard bars and then fell to the ground.

Because he had turned to look at Amelia before he threw her away, Zolink was now looking away from Kruxe, and seeing this as a possible opportunity, Kruxe did not try to temper the rage that filled him on seeing his mother pathetically pleading for his sake and be hurt in the process, he quickly moved forward and without delay immediately sent out a kick.

Rage, anger and the desire to destroy filled Kruxe as he attacked, his leg rising and shooting for Zolink's head, but alas emotions weren't raw strength and immediately Kruxe's leg collided with the man's head, he found himself on the floor a second later, holding on to his legs and barely holding back a scream.

"That was dumb of you," Zolink said, squatting down and looking at Kruxe who was struggling to get on his feet, and when he realized that he couldn't do that, he quickly rolled away.

"That was a nice kick, but now you have a broken leg, didn't your mother teach you not to kick things you can't break" Zolink muttered, and then with a realization turned to the weeping Amelia.

"No offence though"

At this time Kruxe had gained a bit of control of himself and managed to sit up, though his right leg still close to his chest and cradled in his arm.

"Urhh, I've delayed enough, they might start looking for me" Zolink said looking toward the hatch of the above floor and then he looked to Kruxe.

"Goodbye," he said with a shrug, pulling a short black stick out of his pocket.

At that point, Kruxe felt death approaching once more, but this time he was down on his butt and with a broken leg.

He could hear his mother scream louder than ever, and as she screamed he began pulling himself backwards, dragging his butt on the floor as fear wracked his body on what Zolink was about to do.

At that moment, Kruxe forgot his vow to either die or save his mother, all he felt was fear, fear that consumed his body and took over its movements.

Kruxe continued pulling his butt across the wooden floor of the deck till he collided with a cage on the opposite end, and then all he knew was a long black stick rapidly extending towards him, the object filling his vision, and then he knew nothing.

…...

"I should have killed you the same way you killed Maruge, but luckily for you, I don't want to get the floor all nasty, it would be a drag to have to start figuring out how to clean it" Zolink commented as he looked at Kruxe who was leaning against the bars of the opposite cage, his body limp and a deep circular hole on his forehead.

"Now to take care of the mother," Zolink thought with a groan, turning to the collapsed Amelia whose expression was on the sight of her dead son.

Amelia seemed to have lost all life in her and was a lesser person to see her, they would assume her dead.

Alas Zolink was far from a normal human, he knew Amelia was alive and well, and he was more than aware of what would happen were he to leave her be.
