The man's green eyes was shone wide open, glaring at the brunette short lady before him.
"Stay back, lady! I'll call the cops right now," he warned but she was proving to be darn stubborn. "This isn't happening, broad day light robbery?!"
"Please sir, give me your phone! Give me your phone, mister. Come on, come on!"
"Get away from me you mad woman. Don't touch me!" the man took steps back, running from her but immediately, so fast, she jumped forward and reached for his hand.
"Please give me your phone already!" the lady roared out, her eyes transforming into an ugly expression; big pale gray eyes, small pouted lips with dimples crinkling.
"Did you just...touch me?" The man said calmly that he could barely even hear his own voice. He had let go of the lady struggling with his phone now and just stared with complete shock.
"Are you okay, sir? I need to take your phone, I'll be right back okay?" The lady said, taking big steps back as she began to dial a number. "Hey Bianca, I'm ruined. I'm ruined Bianca!"
[A couple of minutes back…]
Amber is a slender young lady with long brown and soft hair that flows down her back. She has a smile that was beautiful to make men and women stop to stare. Her eyes are big with gray color, so one gaze from her and one would feel like their soul is being glanced at.
But she didn't know this, at least she never think of herself as that kind of 'Amber'. Instead, she was the live-in daughter and sister-in-law of the Willows household in Mateo Yard, an exquisite town for the rich in New York city.
Also, Amber is without a child after five years of searching. She was short with small legs, and was a full housewife with little exposure to the outside world.
"You will go to the stadium and fetch me these items." Said Sarah, her mother in law.
"Yes mother." Amber said, then the words played in her head again. "Wait, the stadium?? I've never been to that area alone before mother!"
The stadium was an area near the Mateo rivers where large trade is always held. There was a man who sells jewelries to Sarah and her daughter.
"Besides, what if I'm duped or so?" Amber quickly added. "That place is meant for only business men and women and such."
"Oh you dummy! I need this necklace for the party coming up this weekend. And I have appointment for my hair today so I can't go." Sarah said.
Amber was not about to give up that easily. "Please mother, why can't sister Maya go--"
A hot slap landed on her face making her cheeks fluster red instantly. One can even see the finger mark traced on her face.
Amber held her cheeks tight, caressing it.
"How dare you! Because I'm nice to you sometimes doesn't mean you take me for granted. Maya is busy, else I wouldn't have called you while you were cleaning now, would I?"
Amber's eyes suddenly grew red and she felt her vision blurred from the tears that had gathered and filled her eyes.
"Now you listen to me, I know that my son loves you for some reason despite you being from the slum. But if you think you can fool him with your pathetic smile, you can't do that with me, huh! Never!" Sarah continued.
"You will go to the stadium and meet my jewelry plug. Give him the money and collect the item. Okay?" She yelled out.
Amber could only stare at the ground in silence.
"How hard can it be? Just go now and fetch it for me. If my son asks where you went, tell him you went to the market and got delayed. Now, get lost. I know my son gives you allowance so use from it for your t-fare."
She threw an envelop down filled with the exact money needed for the necklace and walked away.
Amber was still staring at the ground. Drops of tears had began to drip to the floor now.
How can she be so pathetic and take their insults? Why can't she just summon her courage and leave! Living in the gutters was far more better than living with the Willows.
Seeing she has no choice, she wiped her tears and quickly went to get changed. She was on a kneelength flared dress with her bumpshorts under. Her hair was wrapped in a messy bun and she applied lip gloss and went on her way.
The stadium was the same as ever. Big filled with many people. It was a place where the crowds always gathered. Filled with traders and strangers and tourists and as well as thieves.
Different odor reeked the air as she made her way forward. She swallowed hard, walking forward till she located the jewelry store. It was an old kiosk with a dull appearance.
It was eerie walking in. She'd been there twice before, never good occasions.
As she was about to take her first step inside, her eyes just accidentally gaze up and caught a disturbing scene.
By the dumpster side was a woman on a first edition Prada wear and was barefooted. What bothered Amber was the fact that this lady had a gun held up close to held head!
The store door opened and a pot bellied man yawned as he was about to step out. Amber's eyes locked with the man and he blinked twice. Without thinking fast, Amber threw herself forward to meet the lady.
