Chapter 35 - Chapter35-Turmoil

Accompanied by the formation of a large frost barrier in the sky, another elite magus revealed himself.

"Nathan, hand over Anthony, and I'll let you leave!"

However, his demand was met with a bright white fireball, the size of an egg.

This fireball, intensely luminous, traversed the sky in an instant, confronting the frost barrier.

The white flame exploded mid-air.

The meeting of cold and heat instantly spawned a storm, with thunderous roars echoing as bits of white flame were scattered by the wind in all directions.

The two elite magi hastily dodged!

Once the white flames dissipated, the two elite magi looked grim, while Nathan and his companions had already stepped onto the teleportation array.

The next moment, Nathan and his group appeared on the floating island where Sky Sanctuary was located.

Unexpectedly for Nathan, Cliff was not at Sky Sanctuary; Aaron was guarding the entrance.

Aaron, seeing Nathan, joyfully exclaimed, "Lord, it's great that you could come."

"What's happened here?" Nathan asked, puzzled.

Aaron, looking anxious, replied, "Lord, there seems to have been some disturbance outside, it's hard to distinguish friend from foe. Lady Eris was ambushed and injured, and Lord Cliff has already gone to her aid! I was just about to fetch you!"

Hearing this, Nathan became alarmed.

"How badly is Eris hurt, and who attacked her?"

Aaron answered, "I'm not sure, I received a message from the third prince tonight, asking me to come to Sky Sanctuary and follow Cliff's commands."

"I had just arrived when Cliff ordered me to fetch you. He mentioned that Eris was injured and he had to rush to her."

Nathan nodded, sensing that this night was far from ordinary.

Then Aaron stepped onto the teleportation array, leaving behind the words, "Lord Cliff instructed you to enter the secret chamber; I'm going to assist Lady Eris!"

With a flash of teleportation light, Aaron disappeared.

Nathan led Luna straight to the depths of Sky Sanctuary, a tranquil place within Nebula Academy.

Originally, it was the site for sacred ceremonies of Nebula Academy, but it had not been used for many years.

Only Cliff was in charge of its maintenance, with just one or two visitors occasionally.

At this moment, it was completely deserted.

Soon, Nathan arrived at a secret chamber in the deepest part of the sanctuary, an emergency hiding place Cliff had once mentioned to him.

The three entered the chamber, and Nathan threw the flame cage into a corner, his expression dark and ominous.

Today's events had left him unable to stay calm.

He casually removed Anthony's silence spell, grabbed his hair, and slapped him across the face a dozen times, causing Anthony's face to swell immediately.

"I ask you, why did you try to kill me?" Nathan's expression was grim and fierce.

Anthony, dazed from the beating, suddenly spat out blood and started to laugh maniacally at Nathan.

Nathan cursed and pulled out a packet of white powder, the insect-repelling medicine Lia had concocted for him today.

"Damn insects, if you don't talk, I'll kill you right now!"

Anthony's eyes immediately showed terror, "What are you trying to do? Frank won't let you off!"

Without a word, Nathan grabbed his hair and poured half the packet of white powder into Anthony's mouth.

The next moment, Anthony's body convulsed violently! It seemed as if something was frantically struggling inside him, and his face began to contort.

"I'll give you one more chance!"

"I'll talk! I'll talk!" Anthony cried, tears and snot mingling.

"We wanted to kill you... to lure out Milo!"

"Aren't you afraid my master will kill you?" Nathan shouted angrily.

Anthony replied with a miserable laugh, "You don't know about your master's curse acting up, do you?... Give me the antidote, I feel terrible! Please!"

Nathan turned a deaf ear to Anthony's cries, his inner world tumultuous, fists clenched tight.

He hadn't expected this! He vaguely remembered his master mentioning a curse that struck her every thirty years, leading to a three-month weakened phase.

During this phase, her mana level would drop to that of a beginner magus.

No wonder he had been unable to contact his master, and even Eris was unclear about her whereabouts.

It seemed his master had known the weakened phase was approaching and had sent him away to Nebula Academy, a relatively safe haven, well in advance.

Looking at Anthony again, Nathan saw he appeared somewhat drained.

Luna, witnessing this scene, bit her lip, her eyes flickering with pity.

Such mercy, Nathan thought coldly.

There was another matter he needed to inquire about.

Seeing Anthony had survived the insect-repelling medicine, he asked again, "What is the resonance pill? Why is Frank promoting it?"

This time, Anthony refused to speak.

Nathan wasted no more words and pulled out the other half of the insect-repelling medicine.

"I have plenty more of this medicine. I'll give you one last chance. If you don't talk, I'll make you swallow a whole box of this powder!"

Fear appeared in Anthony's eyes, but he still wouldn't speak.

"Fine!" Nathan forced the half packet into his mouth, washing it down with water.

Anthony cried out in agony again.

At that moment, a magic paper crane suddenly appeared on Nathan's shoulder.

Startled, Nathan took the paper crane and casually opened it.

Lia's exclamation came through: "Nathan, I'm in the dorm, and someone's targeting me!"

Upon hearing this, Nathan's heart skipped a beat, alarmed that Lia had encountered trouble.

He couldn't fathom what was going on tonight and regretted not keeping Lia with him.

But there was no time for regrets now, and without any other option, Nathan could only ask Luna to stay put while he himself rushed to the teleportation array.

However, before leaving the secret chamber, he discreetly set up an eye of surveillance in an unobtrusive corner of the wall, then departed.

At the floating island where Lia's dormitory was located, Nathan burst into Lia's room, only to find it in disarray and Lia nowhere to be seen.

His eyes immediately reddened at the sight.

Several girls from neighboring dorms also came to check, and a crowd began to gather.

Moreover, Nathan noticed two elite magi approaching the teleportation array from afar.

Nathan took a detour, heading back to Sky Sanctuary.

His mood was low, with countless questions troubling his mind.

He was desperate for answers! And all of this seemed to be directly related to Anthony.

However, upon entering the secret chamber of Sky Sanctuary, the scene before him made his gaze sharpen.

Luna was slumped over in a chair, unconscious, and Anthony was nowhere to be found! Nathan checked on Luna, who seemed to have been hit with a simple slumber spell and was otherwise unharmed.

He exited the secret chamber, took down the eye of surveillance from the wall, and with a wave of his hand, cast a spell that revealed the recent events captured by the device.

In the footage, right after Nathan left, Anthony burst out of the secret chamber, followed by a conflicted-looking Luna.

Anthony appeared to be persuading Luna to leave with him, but she continuously shook her head.

After Anthony departed, Luna returned to the secret chamber.

Seeing this process, Nathan's anger surged.

At that moment, outside Sky Sanctuary, Aaron walked in, one hand wielding a longsword, the other gripping Anthony by the collar.

"My lord, Lord Cliff has commanded me to return and protect you. I had just teleported back when I spotted this fellow sneaking towards the teleportation array, so I apprehended him," he explained, tossing Anthony to the ground with a thud, who then displayed a visage of utter despair.

Nathan let out a cold laugh as he summoned a cage of flames to encase the captive, dragging him into a secret chamber and ordering Aaron to stand guard outside.

Within the confines of the chamber, Nathan's expression was ominously dark.

Beside him, on a chair, lay Luna, under the influence of a slumber spell.

"I'll ask you one last time," Nathan demanded icily, "tell me everything you know about the resonance pill!"

Anthony, acting as if he hadn't heard, remained silent.

"Do not provoke me. What have you done with Lia?" Nathan paced rapidly back and forth.

At the mention of Lia's name, Anthony reacted for the first time, his expression revealing a perverse pleasure.

He even looked at Nathan with a challenging gaze, seemingly reveling in the frustration he was causing.

"Fine! You won't speak, will you?"

Nathan turned around and saw Luna leaning against the chair in deep sleep, and an evil fire instantly rose from his belly.

He grabbed Luna and quickly unbuttoned Luna's collar, then with a sharp jerk, he pulled Luna's shirt up to her waist, and Luna's upper body was instantly exposed.

"What are you doing?" Anthony let out a shriek and looked at Nathan with some disbelief.

In the next moment, Nathan directly tore off the underwear wrapped around Luna's breasts with one hand.

Two snow-white breasts jumped out at once, and the two spots of red on them were particularly eye-catching.

Nathan grabbed one of the breasts and kneaded it, it was warm in his hand.

But he had nothing to think about at the moment, he was just focused on making Anthony tell his secret.

He knew exactly what the guy cared about most!

"You're not going to tell me are you, I'm going to fuck this woman right in front of you today!" Nathan gritted his teeth!
