"Well…I'm waiting! Start talking", the giant creature asked once again as it lay on the ground before them, its eyes burning holes in their chests.
Adding to how terrified the brothers were, the fact that the creature could speak perfect English seemed to stun them more.
After a few seconds of hesitation, Tom made the decision to speak on their behalf. He let go of his brother and sat seiza-style before the creature.
After taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, Tom raised his head towards the beast before him.
"My name is Thomas Tyrian, this is my little brother, Edward Tyrian", Tom introduced and proceeded to divulge his and his brother's entire history.
He described the point in time in which their superhuman abilities awakened and the following betrayal by members of their own family.
They were turned in to and held against their will by a research organization hidden from the eyes of the public.
"Over the course of the decade after our capture, we were continually subjected to inhumane experiments.
It seems their goal was to find the source of our powers and probably try to replicate it, or worse… weaponize it.
We took advantage of a technical error that occurred, while in the middle of conducting one of their usual experiments and fled the facility using my little brother's hyper speed ability. We found solace in cities miles away from the facility but they always managed to track us down.
We've been changing locations constantly all with the aim of keeping out of their reach", Tom finished explaining to the large beast before them.
"Hhmm!" Samuel mumbled with a claw finger under his chin in thought. "I've heard about this organization and although I suspected that it may still just be baseless rumours, I knew the chances of that were extremely low", he said in his deep draconic voice.
"Anyway, since you are already here, I can surmise that soon they will be swarming this place…putting me and my retinue in danger", Samuel said accusatorily.
Understanding the meaning behind his words, Tom bowed his head in apology. They just sought a place to rest and recover. How were they supposed to know than such a mythical creature had made this place its territory.
"There's no need to apologize…nothing will change even if you do. What we need now is how to get rid of them", Samuel said to the two brothers. "Do…Does that mean you will not harm us?", Tom asked hopefully.
"I have no intention of harming anyone who held no hostility towards me. Besides, we have more important things to worry about. We need to….", Samuel's voice trailed off us he turned his head towards the sky.
"I guess we don't need to worry about it anymore", he said suddenly confusing the two brothers further.
The clouds in the sky started to gather and darken; the winds moving through the mountains picking up speed.
The clouds grew darker as thunder roared within them. A large bolt of lightning fell from the sky right near Samuel's large body but he didn't flinch; shocking the two brothers. The dark clouds in the sky cleared just as fast as they were formed.
When the dust generated by the lightening cleared, there was a custom amoured truck in the spot the lightning struck. The scene before the two brothers were like that out of a fairy tale.
The doors of the truck opened and five individuals emerged from it. No one had to tell the brothers for they could feel it in their cores…the people before them were strong…incredibly strong. The aura around them was akin to that of the monster laying before them.
.....
"Welcome back! To what do I owe this wonderful surprise?" Samuel asked as Dr. Michaelson, Silendiana, the twins and Delgato walked up to him.
"You tell us. We'd just arrived at Cape Metro city when we received the report from Lisia. We had to come and see everything for ourselves", Dr. Michaelson said as he stood next to Samuel's enormous body.
The group observed the largest of the Dire wolves, Dire foxes and Dire ravens sitting in front of the hundreds of their pack members. Dr. Michelson couldn't help but be impressed by their sizes and recalling the data he received from Lisia, he could not wait to test their strengths.
"Before any of that, how about you introduce us to your new friends here", Silendiana requested, recognizing the glint in Dr. Michaelson's eyes as well as giving the two kneeling brothers a quick once-over.
Samuel first introduced the two brothers to the group and proceeded to narrate to them everything he had been told by the brothers.
"I can't believe that organization really exists. I'm surprised Lisia had not been able to root them out already", Sylvia said in disbelief.
"I believe they are intentionally remaining off the grid in order to prevent unauthorized access to their data streams".
"If we can just get a single device of theirs that is connected to their network, we can tap into their data streams and gleam every information we want as well as locate their base.
Through that we can expose all the parties involved and rescue all the captured metahumans", Dr. Michelson said resolutely.
"Well, you may not have to wait long", Samuel said as his body glowed brightly and he transformed back to his prime emergence form, shocking the two brothers extremely.
No one told them that the scary creature before them could do that. Even in his humanoid form, he was still just as scary.
"Since they are able to track the two of them, I expect they are on their way here as we speak", Samuel said as he walked up to Dr. Michaelson. "That's true! I guess we need to prepare for them", Dr. Michaelson responded.
"First, we need to get rid of the trackers. Since they know the general location, it should not be difficult to get here but I'd rather not make it easy for them", Silendiana said as she walked up to the two terrified boys.
"Don't be scared little ones, no one here is going to hurt you. Now, sit still", she instructed as she created a large dome made up of countless strands of lightning around the two brothers.
Even though as meta humans they could use extraordinary abilities, seeing this display of power and control really freaked the brothers out, but they obeyed and sat still.
"Found them…right next to their brain stems", Silendiana announced the location of the trackers.
"How merciless of them…placing the trackers in one of the most fragile parts of the human body. They realized no one would risk total paralysis just to get the them out", Delgato noted in disgust.
"Well, they never accounted for us. Grit your teeth…this may sting a little", Silendiana warned as two thin streams of electricity pierced through their skins and fried the trackers with pinpoint accuracy, successfully deactivating them.
