Chapter 8 - My village

Young master, where did you learn that word?

Shit, did I just say the word of my old world subconsciously?

"It's my secret language," haha.

That's why I told you you were a different young master, as for what goblins were, they were vamp goblins. Your father's forbidden experiment of trying to make goblins into vampires that could live in the hardest conditions with no food and immunity to the sun, with the ability to turn others into vampires, was challenging before your father would continue. He was discovered and had to stop it.

But we were spared by all the mighty true gods just with a warning because of our god, his majesty.

Oh, that's why normal goblins are weaker, right? Hey, wait, then am I turning into a vampire? It's advantageous, right?

Rest assured, your body isn't showing signs of turning. As I said, your body is an anomaly, so I can't understand.

"Butler, are artificial goblins weaker than real ones?"?

Yes, as they are bread and made artificially in a comfortable environment, they are weak.

Okay, I want to access my father's office to do some experiments.

Sorry, you cannot do that. Although it belongs to you, it isn't guaranteed yet, so you cannot access it until you prove it to household members.

Ok, then just arrange some equipment on this list.

Young Master, this name—what does it mean?

Ah, do you have metals that are artificially created that are costly?

Well, we have one metal that meets the requirement. It is called adamantium, and it is not purchasable. You can buy it at 18, and then things will change. Also, what kind of experiments are you doing? I have to supervise this for your safety.

Ah, it's for fun; nothing dangerous.

It will take a week to get it. We have gold coins, but what quality do you want?

Ah, the cheapest one. I only need 10, and gold coins work.

Monster blood and glass equipment will take 2 weeks.

Okay, butler, I will rest for a day and take the healing portion. Also, give me the village's annual report. Wait, do we have something like that?

Yes, young master, I will bring it to you.

OK, on your way, call the village chef and any medicine-related person.

Yes, I shall do that, young master.

"Hey, could you stop calling me a young master?" "What should I refer to you as a young master?"

"Never mind; call whatever you want."

After a while,

Young master, you called us and said a middle-aged man with a white robe behind him had two assistants.

You are the main doctor, right? These guys are herbalists, right? Arain continued without getting any reply. I want you to list down every and any medicinal herbs you have in storage that are available in the nearby areas.

Yes, we prepared this expecting you would ask. This is a small gift from us. He handed down a big box to Arian without looking into its contents, set it aside to show that he wasn't an easy-going or bribe-able guy, and said thank you.

Hmm, so you guys farm these in your yard only?

The main doctor said yes, hesitatingly.

But I heard that you were using my land and selling it outside the town.

No, young master, that's... Arian cutting them said they were telling me that my sources were wrong and you were not exploiting the villagers' land in exchange for treatment.

The three looked at each other, bowing down. They said, "We are extremely sorry, young master." "Hmm, I like your honesty," he said, laughing inside. I was right, haha. I can become a good lord, he thought.

I know my father didn't have time for petty matters, and you guys have exploited this as much as you could, but I am different. I will talk to your chief; he is involved in it too. But first, I want you only to use the free land I own to grow extra crops or medicines, and you guys will grow high demand or margin. I don't want any more corruption. As I said, one of the assistants, who looked more like a farmer, said something but was signaled by the doctor to shut up. Arian picked this up. No worries. I will handle the chief.

Also, what are the village problems, according to you?

The young masters are always getting sick, and there is a lack of equipment and beds at Sir's house, as well as constant attacks by kobolds and goblins, the farmer said.

Another assistant said we need anti-poison because most people are getting poisoned because of cave spiders and kobold attacks.

Arian, after the arrival of the chief, swore himself that bastard straight out blackmailed me that he would take all workers under him, making the town a ghost town. Gritting his teeth, Arian said, "I swear that I will do something to rob you of your wealth and influence."

Hum, he probably has ring storage to store if he has multiple towns like this.

Okay, let's go, your honor, after a while.

Hum, thank you. I will move on my own, Arian said, chief, but sir, without any guards from your side or my side, it will be dangerous. Arian dryly laughed. Nobody would dare to harm me. A member of the Bloodsteel family also said I didn't bring guards; he said that and walked off.

Shit, did he just blackmail my safety, or was this a small talk? Walking around, he explored and came near mine.

A guard spoke, annoyed. Hey kid, what are you doing? and stopped realizing his status through his clothes, smiling. Arian said it was purely bluffing. I don't mind, but my butler would have killed you if it weren't for the test.

Young master, I am extremely sorry. How can I help you? He said this, looking at the Arian shadow and around others.

Taking a deep breath, I want to see what's going on; that's all. Give me a tour.

Sir, this is mine. After walking for a while, do we have to go all the way down, master? "Yes," Arian said, looking at the small, almost closed opening. Arian moved to the guard, who said nervously, sir, there is nothing there.

Arian I still want to check after walking down the path, young master. I am so sorry, but it was he who told me to hide. He said, looking at the lump of glowing crystals, Are these... Yes, it is a mana worm.

It was a type of worm that would collect natural mana in air and food, storing it in its back for its offspring to grow. It is usually harvested to make clothing-type artifacts, and these are rare species that would die if removed from their habitat.

Arian was delighted and said to himself, I am so lucky. He moved on to thinking about how to make money out of this opportunity. Just as he was wondering how to make money in a mundane village, he got one thing already.

After completely exploring the mine, Arian was happy, and he asked if there were any other mines. The guard said that yes, there are many small mines that the chief hasn't reported. We don't know about that, and hearing about it, he asked me to show me the chief house.

Arian was surprised to find out that the chief house wasn't luxurious at all; rather, it was more like a warehouse than a house. "Looking at how the guards were present, it must contain something."

As he was exposing himself, he came across a cave near the chief's house. As he was about to inspect it, he screamed in pain as a cave spider the same height as him bit him.

Before Arian could react, the cave spider spits its poison on him. As poison entered his eyes, he felt fiery pain, crying in pain. He slashed his pocket knife around blindly, and his heart rate rose to an all-time high.

but the spider easily pierced through his arm, making him feel the wonderous pain of poison and piercing.

he felt the world around him blur and move in a circle Arian panicked, no, this is really bad

Suddenly, the spider screeched in pain, rolling and escaping
