Chapter 29 - Hidden opening

Upon their return to the sect, Li Tian and the others brought back a captive member of the killer organization. These members were promptly placed in a cell. However, on his way, Li Tian was intercepted by Wao Wei, who informed him about an anomaly. Intrigued, they decided to take a stroll to the location in order to investigate further. As they arrived at the spot nestled between two mountains, Li Tian noticed a gate emerging before his eyes. It reminded him of the tales his grandfather used to share about the hidden realms within the sect, where only disciple below a apprentice level could train. Astonishingly, there were three such hidden realms in the old sect.

With only one month remaining until the sect competition, the disciples were in need of intensive training. The hidden realm provided the perfect opportunity for them to gain valuable experience, as they had not yet experienced a real fight. All forty disciples were instructed to gather at the foot of the mountain. Li Tian's grandfather explained to him that the hidden realm would be open for fourteen days, during which the disciples would train for thirteen days and search for spiritual treasures that grew within the realm. It was important to remember that time passed differently inside the realm, so thirteen days here would equate to one hundred thirty days inside. In the past, some disciples had lost track of time and ended up being stuck inside for three whole years, while for the realm, it was around thirty years. Therefore, it was crucial to return within the designated time period. Once the explanation was complete, the disciples were sent into the realm.

As Quan Ning and the others entered the hidden realm, they were amazed to discover that the realm itself was a whole new world. While they were contemplating this, a sudden roar caught their attention, and they saw a herd of low-level beasts approaching them. They found themselves in an intense battle with these fierce beasts, which took them hours to resolve, with time passing differently in this realm. Once they had stabilized, they planned for the next one hundred and twenty-nine days to be the same. As they pondered their situation, they noticed a small town nearby. Upon arriving at the town gate, the gatekeeper asked for their identity. When they mentioned the GMS sect, the gatekeeper was shocked and led them to the town head. A forty-five-year-old person sitting in the head chair asked them about the sect. He revealed that he had built the town with forty-nine other sect members over two hundred years inside the realm, which equated to around twenty years in the outside world. Quan Ning recalled what Zhao Lian had told them in the sect inquiry office, confirming the town head's story. When the head inquired about the Li family, Quan Ning asked if they were the head elders of the sect. The head confirmed, mentioning that his father was a head elder and his older brother was in the clan, expecting his first child. This revelation surprised the disciples, who realized he was talking about the sect head. After a few hours of conversation, they were served food, and the disciples were allowed to stay and explore on their own.

Every day, the disciples continued to gain experience by facing various beasts and engaging in battles with the disciples and children of the old sect. They also dedicated some time to defending the town against the beast tide. Additionally, they ventured into the realm, discovering unknown herbs and gathering materials. Some disciples even acquired new weapons and other valuable items. Within the sect, Li Tian utilized his knowledge and efforts to convince Hu Nao, the head of the killer organization, to join the sect as the head elder of the Probe hall. Their primary responsibilities would involve gathering information and providing protection when disciples go on visits. With Hu Nao's agreement, the sect now boasts more prominent figures.

As the one hundred and thirtieth day approaches, the hidden realm reveals itself, allowing the formation to open. They will be selected from the same place where they landed. However, due to certain restrictions, the formation requires a constant supply of spirit stones. Therefore, workers have been assigned to fulfill this task. As the last batch arrives, both the disciples and the old disciples join them.

Upon the arrival of the older disciples, some decided to leave the sect temporarily to visit their homes or clans. Li Tian's uncle engaged in a conversation with Li Tian, discovering that it was Li Tian's grandfather who had urged him to reopen the sect. Li Tian revealed that his grandfather had believed him to be deceased at the hands of the former sect leader, who had strayed from the right path, causing his grandfather to fall ill. Furthermore, Li Tian explained that his father was the clan head and had numerous responsibilities to attend to. Due to my younger sister's exceptional martial arts skills, she was taken in by our aunt, who was a senior member at the Celestial Lotus Sect. Subsequently, my grandfather requested my presence to restore the sect to its former glory. Li Tian's uncle, Li Euan, contemplated the situation and decided to visit the clan before returning to the sect as an elder, given his status in the king realm, which would greatly benefit the sect.
