Chapter 3 - Chapter 3.Fighting with Lions and Meeting Kindred Spirits

"Rosa, Shana, what are you doing?"

Just as Cyrus was being stopped by two lionesses and unable to move forward or backward, another lioness walked over. She looks noticeably older than the first two lionesses, with a white right eye, which is likely due to blindness caused by hunting injuries.

"Aunt Tina."

Rosa and Shana became very obedient in front of the lioness. Rosa flattered and leaned forward, rubbing her forehead against Tina like a little lion.

They seem to have forgotten Cyrus who is still on the side. Cyrus took the opportunity to throw Charlie on his back, and the two cheetahs instinctively grabbed the fur on Cyrus's back with their claws.

Cyrus suddenly gave a painful twitch. Alright, for the sake of his son, he endured it!

Finally, the three lionesses greeted each other and refocused their gaze on Cyrus. Compared to Shana, who showed hostility, Cyrus felt that this older lioness was even more terrifying. Her fang in her mouth was missing one, but it did not diminish her strength at all.

How terrible this is

Tina looked at Cyrus and then at the two little cheetahs he was carrying on his back. Cyrus was certain that in Tina's eyes, the father and son were all dead leopards.

Three female lions slowly approached him, Cyrus slowly retreated, afraid to turn around and run. The running speed of the lioness is not slow, although it is inferior to the cheetah, there are three in front of him now!

Okay, our strength is not good, but we have wisdom!

Cyrus suddenly lifted his right front paw and pointed towards the head of one of the lionesses, saying, "Look! There's a zebra flying in the sky!"

The three female lions reflexively turned their heads in the direction of Cyrus's claws, and Cyrus took the opportunity to turn and run! Calvin and Charlie held onto Cyrus's back tightly, occasionally flying into mid air due to Cyrus's speed without saying a word.

Looking at the smoke and dust left by Cyrus, the lionesses knew they had been deceived, which made them even more angry. Their previous three point killing intent immediately became five points.

"Rosa, Shana, catch up and tear him apart!"

Tina's voice was cold and bloodthirsty, as three female lions chased in the direction of Cyrus's escape.

Cheetahs have a fast speed, making it difficult for any predator on the grassland to surpass them. But the cheetah has poor endurance, and Cyrus dare not increase his speed to the limit. In less than a minute, he will die due to hypoxia and high body temperature.

Cyrus's instinct to escape prompted him to perform exceptionally well, and before the lionesses caught up with him, he successfully crawled into a dense patch of tall grass. He knew it was equally dangerous, he could use the cover of the grass to avoid the lion, and the lion could ambush him in the grass. But he really has no choice, he can't run anymore.

Calvin and Charlie got off Cyrus's back, and two little cheetahs bent down to help the father and son against the wind. The lion couldn't smell their scent, but they could see the lion. But these three female lions clearly had no intention of letting them go. They persevered in their search in the grass, and Cyrus knew that if this continued, he and the two little cheetahs would never escape.

"Son, be obedient and keep quiet."

Cyrus instructed two cheetahs to hide well and then run in the other direction. The spots and soft gray mane on the cheetahs were a good disguise, and as long as they remained obedient and motionless, it was difficult to be detected,

The lionesses saw Cyrus and didn't think about where the two cheetahs were. Instead, they pounced on Cyrus.

Cyrus never thought he would do such a foolish thing, but he must protect his children. Yes, child, from the day he found Calvin and Charlie, they were his children!

No one can harm his child, no one can!

Cyrus ran while looking back at the lioness. He provoked the three lionesses, making sure they were all chasing after him before continuing to run.

Calvin and Charlie are hiding in the tall grass, not daring to move. Two little cheetahs leaned tightly together, looking towards the direction Cyrus and the lioness were running, their amber eyes unblinking.

"Brother..."

"What?"

"I'm afraid."

"Don't be afraid."

Charlie leaned tightly against Calvin, and he recalled that when his mother left them, it was also the same tall grass. However, at that time, a group of hyenas were chasing them, and they barked and bit their mother to death! My mother protected him and my brother until the very last moment.

"Don't be afraid, Dad will be fine..."

Calvin comforted his younger brother, but his trembling body betrayed him.

The only thing the two cheetahs can rely on at this moment is each other. In this vast grassland, without Cyrus's protection, they will definitely not be able to survive.

Time passes by minute by second, and for the two little cheetahs, each minute feels like an hour.

The occasional startled birds in the grass made them tense their nerves.

They could only silently pray, hoping to hear the familiar voice the next moment, but until the sun set in the west and the sky was dyed red by the blood like sunset, Cyrus still disappeared without a trace.

"Brother..."

Charlie's voice was already tinged with crying, and Calvin was also afraid. As night approaches, the demons that make them afraid will descend again. Although the number of hyenas in the territory of the Orus lion pack is much lower than elsewhere, it does not mean that this greedy group will give up here!

Must leave!

Calvin stood up and licked Charlie's ear. Although the brothers were afraid, they knew they couldn't stay here at night and had to find a hidden place to hide.

Two little cheetahs walked towards the familiar place with the last glimmer of light. They were going back to the termite mound, and maybe Dad would be waiting there.

Darkness finally descended, and in the darkness, the roar of lions and the eerie cries of hyenas could be heard.

Calvin and Charlie didn't stop, they continued walking. Until a familiar sound came from the wind, both little cheetahs raised their ears at the same time.

"Brother?"

"It's Dad, Dad!"

The two little cheetahs forgot all their fears and ran towards the direction of the sound while shouting.

Finally, in front of an unfamiliar ant hill, they found Cyrus.

Cyrus looked very disheveled, with his hind legs and tail bitten. If it weren't for a herd of elephants passing by midway, he would have almost died under the mouth of three lionesses. After escaping, his only thought in his heart was to find the two little cheetahs as soon as possible. He didn't want to think about whether the two little cheetahs would encounter anything after he left. He only wanted to believe that Calvin and Charlie were still fine, waiting for him to find them.

But by the time he found the high grass where the little cheetahs were hiding, the two little cheetahs had disappeared, and he was almost going crazy. Fortunately, he didn't smell the scent of other predators, which calmed him down.

On the way, Cyrus heard a big eared fox say that he had seen two little cheetahs. He was so happy that he forgot the pain on his body. He swore that he would never let the two little cheetahs chase after the big eared fox again in the future!

Finally, the father and son reunited at the termite mound, with Cyrus holding two small cheetahs, choking up and unable to speak.

They are the backbone of his life in this world, Cyrus doesn't know how he would survive alone in this unfamiliar place if he lost them.

"Dad, are you injured?"

Calvin smelled the bloody smell on Cyrus, and for a cheetah, even a small wound could be fatal.

"It's okay." Cyrus retrieved Calvin, who was trying to take a look at his hind legs, and licked Calvin's nose. "Dad, it's okay. Are you hungry? Dad, how about catching antelopes for you tomorrow?"

Charlie leaned against Cyrus's front paw, yawned, and rubbed his chin. "Dad, as long as Dad is good."

When Calvin and Charlie were both asleep, Cyrus transformed into a human and needed to treat the wound on his leg. The appearance of a cheetah was very inconvenient. Just as he was applying the herbs he found to his wound, a frivolous voice suddenly rang in his ear: "Hi, beauty!"

Cyrus suddenly turned his head and looked in the direction of the sound, where two tall male cheetahs were standing not far away. As male cheetahs, these two cheetahs are significantly taller and stronger than Cyrus.

Male cheetahs in groups are easier to hunt and live better than cheetahs living alone.

Two cheetahs got closer and saw Cyrus clearly. One of them clicked and muttered in a low voice, "I thought there was finally a girl coming, but I didn't expect it to be a male."

Looking at the wound on Cyrus's body on the other end, he said; "It's really embarrassing. Did the lion do it?"

Cyrus is not sure about the intentions of these two cheetahs, it is uncertain whether they are enemies or friends. On the grassland, don't think that the same kind is friends.

"Don't be so nervous, we don't have any ill intentions," explained the cheetah who asked about Cyrus' wound. Seeing Cyrus still looking alert, he simply lowered his body and transformed into a human, smiling at Cyrus. "My name is Parzin, and this is my brother Jarlow. We are also evolutionary species."

Parzin also has a pair of amber eyes, but his hair is golden, very close to the color of his fur. He has a slender and symmetrical figure, very handsome, and can even be said to be beautiful. Even from the strictest perspective, he is a very charming man, or a cheetah.

Okay, Cyrus has learned to view things completely from a cheetah's perspective, congratulations.

Jarlow still maintains the appearance of a cheetah, as if he doesn't take Parzin's words seriously. He didn't understand why his brother was so polite to this evolved species. According to past habits, as long as it was a male cheetah who dared to enter their territory, there would definitely be no good fruit to eat. As Jarlow flicked his tail and looked around bored, he noticed two little cheetahs in the grass.

Calvin and Charlie were awakened by an unfamiliar aura, and what caught their eye was a strange male cheetah.

Two little cheetahs were frightened and immediately ran towards Cyrus. The little paw clawed on Cyrus's calf and made a bird like cry.

Parzin and Jarlow were also surprised. Watching Cyrus naturally pick up two small cheetahs, the brothers almost dropped their eyeballs to the ground.

Is this guy really public?

Suddenly, Jarlow's ears twitched and he walked up to Parzin's lap, saying, "Brother, I heard that there is indeed an evolved male cheetah with its cubs in the Delta. Can't it be him?"

Parzin pinched Jarlow's ear, seemingly agreeing with Jarlow's words.

Jarlow continued, "I also heard that this evolved species is very passionate and likes to run naked in broad daylight!"

Cyrus's forehead bulged with a few veins. He turned his head and stared at Jarlow as he spoke, then froze. He clearly saw Parzin, who had transformed into a human figure, wearing a leopard print animal skin skirt around his waist!

Looking down at my empty waist again, I realized later that I was confused.
