As the conversation continued, Ark and Sleonal exchanged pleasantries and chatted for a little while longer. Sleonal shared some tidbits about life in the kingdom of Noe, mentioning popular local events, famous landmarks, and other places of interest.
Ark thanked her for the information and paid for his water. He left the tavern, following Sleonal's directions to the Noe Library. As he walked through the bustling streets, he couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation about the unknown world he found himself in.
Upon reaching the Noe Library, Ark marveled at its grand architecture. The building was adorned with intricate carvings and had an air of wisdom and knowledge. He stepped inside, eager to explore the vast collection of books and gather more information about the world he now inhabited.
Inside the library, Ark approached the front desk where a librarian greeted him with a warm smile. "Welcome to the Noe Library," she said. "How may I assist you today?"
Ark returned the smile and replied, "Thank you. I'm looking for information about the history and lore of this world , as well as any books or documents about the different races, creatures, and magical aspects of this world. It's for a historical researcher project, I'm working on"
The librarian nodded understandingly. "Certainly, we have a wide range of books and resources that can help you with your project. Let me show you to the section dedicated to history and lore." She led Ark through the aisles, pointing out various sections along the way.
"As you can see, this area contains books on the history of the kingdom of Noe, its neighboring regions, and the various races that inhabit this world. You'll find information on dwarves, humans, Demihumans, and even some of the more elusive and mythical creatures."
Ark thanked the librarian for her guidance and began his exploration of the library. He carefully selected a few books on the history of Noe and its surrounding regions, as well as volumes that delved into the different races and creatures of the world.
He made sure to grab some books on magic, spells, and magical artifacts as well, wanting to gain a better understanding of the magical aspects of this world .
Finding a comfortable corner in the library, Ark settled down and started delving into the books, immersing himself in the rich lore and history of the kingdom.
In this world there are a total of three continents, the continent that the kingdom of Noe resides is called Alzerd. Alzerd has a total of five kingdoms and two empires, the Stelv kingdom, the Ferion kingdom , the Belmar Kingdom, the Noe Kingdom (where Ark currently finds himself), the Thalma Kingdom, the Lysara Empire and the Eldoria Empire.
The kingdom of Noe is quite different compared to the other kingdoms is that this kingdom welcomes many different races but because of this, it harbors a lot of hatred from the other kingdoms and is looked down upon, the kingdom of Noe was established by a Dwarf named Oregon also known as the god of war, 400 years ago.
The kingdom of Noe was even more special than other kingdoms, because unlike how others chose their king through bloodlines, this kingdoms king was chosen by the council of Noe.
As Ark immersed himself in booksand documents, he discovered fascinating tales of ancient battles, legendary heroes, and mythical creatures. He learned about the intricate political dynamics between the kingdoms and empires, as well as the unique cultural practices and traditions of each race.
Ark's enhanced senses and quick reading speed allowed him to absorb information rapidly. He took notes, bookmarked important pages, and cross-referenced various sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of the world he had been transported to.
Through his research, He learned about the existence of magical artifacts, which possessed powerful enchantments and were highly sought after by adventurers and collectors alike. Ark spend the entire day in the library immersing himself in this worlds history.
He discovered that the biggest enemy of this world is the army of undead, the army of undead originates from the continent of Lazarek, also known as the undead continent, were Necromancers, Reapers, Death knight, Zombies, Skeleton warriors, Ghosts and Vampire reside.
The leader of the undead, as well as the ruler of the continent of undead was a vampire, necromancer, known as Vampire King Devarius
As Ark delved deeper into his research, he found that Vampire King Devarius was a fearsome and powerful figure. Legends spoke of his ability to command legions of undead creatures and his insatiable thirst for power. The vampire king's ultimate goal was to expand his dominion and spread darkness throughout the world.
Ark also discovered that there were various factions and organizations dedicated to combating the undead threat. The most prominent among them was the Order of the Silver Sun, an ancient order of knights and clerics who specialized in fighting vampires and other creatures of darkness. The Order was known for its expertise in wielding silver weapons and harnessing divine magic.
The Order of the Silver Sun had been engaged in a long-standing battle against the undead forces, striving to protect the innocent and uphold the light.
Ark learned that the recent victory of the adventurers over a powerful vampire, as mentioned by Sleonal, was likely connected to the ongoing conflict between the Order and the undead.
"after reading everything I figured out 5 things need, 1. I need to make sure no one finds out am a Vampire otherwise I'd be killed, 2. Need to come up with a convincing backstory, 3. I need to find a job, 4. Got to figure out a way to walk in the sun without feeling like I'm gonna die any second, I should probably continue researching magic to find an artifact or magic that can help with that, and 5. figure out how to use this stupid status window"
