The now-called Nyx, for the villagers, found herself in a somewhat complicated situation. She had forgotten about Alucard, so the guy simply arrived on foot escorting the girls after a [Message] from Black Abyss, who arrogantly took the name 'Titania'.
She had finished practically interviewing the village chief, who was willing to give information instead of money, extracting everything she could from the old man, along with obtaining an approximate map of the continent. She would give it to Eyesight later. But in short, currently, they were on the shores of the Great Tob Forest, a massive forest in the south of the Kingdom of Re-Estize, which is at war with the Baharuth Empire, the possible origin of the recently seen soldiers, and both bordering the Slane Theocracy, which is also a possible, more conspiratorial origin of the knights.
Anyway, Dont at least now had an approximate location. Fortunately, Titania had not been seen by the villagers at any time, and she had invented a story about being a traveler from a distant land along with her 2 bodyguards, Titania and Arthur (Alucard), in search of an honorable goal that they couldn't reveal. She didn't mention the origin of the Infernal Protector, as they probably wouldn't view a Demonologist kindly, so she dismissed it by saying that as long as she had his collar as a lock, the giant would be at her complete mercy.
She charged them a few copper and silver coins, discovered the high value of a single Yggdrasil coin.
They found that, apparently, there was something that allowed everyone to understand each other, although spanish apparently ignored that property or something like that, and a few trivial things.
And now, she was attending the funeral of those who fell during the knights's raid. The sisters, Enri and Nemu Emmott, fortunately and effectively, were sisters... And they were crying over their parents's graves. The rest of the villagers were also in depressed states, having lost friends, family, lovers, etc.
However, for Dont, such a scene was nothing more than boring. She almost wanted to steal a corpse to test something about her summoning that didn't work exactly like in Yggdrasil. Which was the fact that the Infernal Protector had not disappeared even though its duration had expired several hours ago. Did it have something to do with the fact that the knight's corpse turned to ashes? Something like that? She would have to test it later.
Dont had leaned against a nearby tree, looking at the funeral disinterestedly. Also watching Alucard present at the funeral, comforting those he could. Honestly, it disgusted her. She almost screamed when she felt a breath in her ear from behind.
"And well~? Did we save a village from criminals, and should we punish them~? Or did we do something good and save an innocent village~?" Black Abyss asked, walking to the side and leaning on the other side of the tree.
"Well... The second, unfortunately. But well, at least we gained information." Dont sighed, without much interest, not a hint of sympathy for the villagers, but some irritation and amusement at Black Abyss's nonsense.
The Demon looked to the side, sensing the presence of the hidden units she had requested to protect them. She hummed. Her detection ability was quite high as a Shooter and Rogue. It was interesting to see how the level of 'detection' translated into a more real existence.
"Now. The important thing, Titania. I don't want it known that it's a gigantic city. That's why I took its name. If they ever hear that name again, they'll think of me. Also... I don't want much to be known about us. Whom are we supposed to serve?"
"Well... Uh..." Dont was blank at the question. Her invented background story was something about searching for something in these lands with an honorable purpose, and the idiot Alucard almost called her 'My queen' in front of the whole village.
It was also impossible to deny that she clearly looked like a noble of high birth and fortune, escorted by two valiant and shining knights of equally beautiful and wonderful appearances, along with a magical servant controlled with an expensive magical item.
So... Thinking about that... She could, precisely, think that she was a noble coming to help her king or queen revive their ancient glory or something like that... Then...
"Uh... To Oberon and... Lucifer? The kings of... Something?" Dont said, not very sure. If someone recognized Lucifer as the damn Biblical Prince of Hell, also known as one of the most fucked up World Boss in Yggdrasil, then they might be in a bit of trouble... Or not.
It depended on a few variables.
She could say the same about Oberon, the King of the Fairies from Shakespeare and a Raid Boss and leader of the Forest Elves and Fae faction of Yggdrasil campaigns.
"How about Superbia? Queen of the United States of something... Nyx, Countess of something... Titania, Celestial Paladin of something..." Black Abyss suggested, only that Dont needed accurate titles, not 'someone of something.'
"... Hm... Well, we'll think of 'something' later. For now, we have the idea." Dont said with a sigh, glancing at Black Abyss, noticing some discomfort in her as she looked at the funeral. She raised an eyebrow when she guessed part of the reason. "Do you want to revive someone...?" Dont asked, not offering it, but rather just wanting to know the answer.
"Yes... But it would be wrong to interfere with the natural order of things... Reviving those people would only create an even greater cloud of interest around us, and perhaps a dependence on our protection..." Somewhat dejected, Black Abyss explained. Dont nodded, but knew that wasn't 'all.' She knew Black Abyss, and these changes she had lately due to her Angel race or karma surely followed a 'goodness' pattern.
"... You want to especially revive those two's parents, right?... Ha... Honestly, I don't care at all about any of these people. They may or may not be an interesting source of information or a few resources, or useful for experiments at most."
"..." Black Abyss narrowed her eyes at Dont and stepped away from the tree. She began walking towards the villagers mourning over the bodies covered by blankets. "Move aside." The woman said with a serious voice, an order that almost made them move unconsciously, but looking at her with curiosity more than anything.
She felt the [Message] connection hit her brain, requesting the 'chat.' Unconsciously, she accepted it.
(What are you doing?) Dont asked on the other side of the channel.
(I'll revive them...) Black Abyss exclaimed.
(First of all, you're not a Priestess, so you can't use high-level Resurrection spells... And it will cost you too much Mana for me to feel comfortable. If they were weak enough to die to common swords of soldiers below level 20 with no chance of fighting back, then they'll just turn to dust with the necessary Level consumption of even the strongest of your resurrection spells.) Dont said with clear annoyance but a tone of concern, for Black Abyss only. However, the annoyance came from the fact of reviving humans apparently, and Black Abyss's reckless action.
(Dont... Do you remember five days ago when we were just humans too...? When I heard about the bad situations of our companions, I wished I could help them... I wished that Yggdrasil's magic was real. Now that I have the ability to do it, why not try...? Isn't it what all weak people would want? Yes... If one of those were...)
(... But we're not weak anymore, at least among these people. If we attract the attention of individuals as strong or stronger than us, all of Titania will be in danger... Our entire guild, our creation... THE ONLY THING WE HA-... Everything we have...)
Dont calmed herself with a deep breath. Her breath trembled a bit.
(Everything will be in danger for a merciful whim that you're not even sure will work. These people are complete strangers to us. A few hours ago, you didn't even know of their existence and were probably happily eating some cake or something while they were being massacred... Look. Just make it look like you're apologizing to the girls, and come back here without using a single divine spell or anything. Relax, and I'll consider placing some units in this village under your command to keep it safe from significant dangers, okay?)
(...) Dont could see Black Abyss clenching her fist tightly. Her heightened senses heard a faint annoyed growl, while she felt the slight vibrations she was causing... She grimaced, not wanting to see Black Abyss really upset, but Dont would prioritize the survival of Titania and both of them over anyone in this world.
Black Abyss then raised a hand, and a divine aura expanded, to what... It wasn't a resurrection spell, nor a healing one, it was a... 'Salvation' spell.
"[To Heavens]" A spell that in the game allowed players to respawn faster. Basically, for this world, this spell was... Something that ensured a faster step towards the afterlife according to the lore.
Dont, leaning against the tree, just sighed at Black Abyss's action.
The celestial aura dissipated, and from the bodies, a celestial light could be seen leaving them, only to disappear quickly.
"They are in a better place..." Black Abyss exclaimed with a gentle smile, and she clearly managed to comfort the people, but the pain still persisted.
The Supreme turned around and headed back towards the tree.
"If we find out who caused this, I will kill them." She exclaimed seriously.
"Sure." Dont sighed again at Black Abyss's statement with some disinterest, looking into the distance on the horizon while receiving a [Message] from Achernar. "Anyway, I'm going for a walk. Join me if you want." Stepping away from the tree, the Shooter began to walk with crossed arms towards the village.
After a moment, Black Abyss also sighed, moving away from the tree and walking in the direction Dont was going, looking around, using her fascination with nature as a distraction from what had just happened.
Alucard, noticing the movement of his two Ladies, apologized and proceeded to trot lightly to catch up with them.
...
With her arms behind her back, somewhat sinisterly if she could say so, Dont walked through the village, watching the villagers helping with the reconstruction.
They had recently buried their loved ones, but that was life, and they had to move on if they wanted to survive, so they didn't take long to get to work.
At her side, a bit behind, Black Abyss walked beside her, and behind both, Alucard and the Infernal Protector followed closely.
"... What do you think of humans... Titania?" Curiosity invaded her. It wasn't a question one would normally ask among a group of virtual friends.
She looked at Dont and replied. "Sentient beings, like us, Elves, and the others."
"Mm... And you... Arthur?"
"... One of the many creations of the Supremes. They have many bad people, but... Even in them, I can see light. Despite their destructive nature, when things go wrong, they are capable of coming together to rebuild and live." He exclaimed, looking at the people around, working together to rebuild what was lost.
"Huh?... Do you think we created them...?" Dont said somewhat incredulous. She had to admit that imagining herself as if she were the Biblical God and saying that she created humans in her image and likeness was a good ego boost, but she was sure that if she had created them, she wouldn't have made them so dumb.
"Eh? But in that case..."
Black Abyss spoke then.
"We didn't create humans, but still, we can create them. An example is you. Although you go far beyond being just a human. Your blood is not the same as theirs, but it does give you some advantages that other races don't have. Or that humans rarely show."
Dont hummed at Black Abyss's explanation, just looking into the nothingness until she noticed the village chief talking to someone. Both seemed somewhat worried.
The queen hummed again and walked towards the village chief.
"Is there any problem, Chief?"
"Oh, Lady Nyx. It seems that there are people on horseback who seem like soldiers approaching this place..."
Upon hearing this, Dont blinked but pretended to be reflecting deeply... Although in reality, she was just somewhat curious.
"Umu, I see..." She could see that everyone's expressions were of concern, and she just sighed internally. "You shall not worry~ Let the villagers go to some refuge~ We'll take care of it~" Dont instructed with an elegant smile and hands on her hips.
…
Dont forced a smile to hide her tears.
What has she gotten into now...?
She was now roughly at the entrance of the town, with Black Abyss, Alucard, and the Infernal Protector... Oh, right, and with the town chief for... Something she hadn't paid attention to because of how boring the man's words were, waiting for the soldiers on horseback who were apparently on their way.
Dont almost feared that these soldiers would be much stronger than the previous ones and could really give a tough fight to a group of 3 level 100 beings... And an Infernal Protector lurking in the background as cannon fodder.
Black Abyss then let out a low growl.
"Mercenaries? They don't wear uniforms... They seem like well-equipped bandits for bandits." She exclaimed as the group of riders became visible. It's not like Black Abyss had seen bandits besides level 20 or less who bothered occasionally on the Yggdrasil routes.
However, Black Abyss could somehow tell that they were veteran soldiers. It was clear that they had years of combat experience.
The 20 riders reached the square where everyone was waiting. The riders looked clearly cautious of the 3-meter giant in armor, and they were also amazed by the two women present. Some couldn't help it and looked beyond what Dont wanted to allow without a shot to the head as a price.
They lined up precisely in front of the group, and a man emerged from among the riders.
Their leader or a representative according to the most obvious conclusion and how strong the man was compared to the rest of the soldiers. In fact, Dont could almost feel that he was much stronger than the knights before. However, not much. Maybe on the level of the Infernal Protector? A little more or less? She couldn't say exactly, but he wasn't an immediate threat to them.
He was robust, with simple metal and leather armor. His face was somewhat ugly, if Dont could say, but she never liked men enough to compare real beauty by her standards, especially considering that most men on Earth were not at their best due to the lack of 'health.'
Of course, Dont could still say that Alucard was handsomer than this guy and so on.
He had fierce, hard, square features; it was clear that he was an experienced warrior.
He carefully analyzed the group, although Dont, again, wanted to shoot someone at a vague look that the man seemed to suppress quickly with a very slight blush.
"Name, occupation, and purpose. Speak." Black Abyss spoke, and the man was surprised at how threatening such a beauty could sound with such a beautiful voice.
And with an imposing, somewhat deep and smooth, and educated voice, he spoke.
"I am the Warrior Captain of the Kingdom of Re-Estize, Gazef Stronoff. Under orders from the King, I have come with a punitive force to fight against the Empire knights who have been seen patrolling around various towns."
Behind Black Abyss and Alucard, the town chief murmured the man's title almost incredulously.
Dont wanted to kick the old man for not mentioning someone so important.
"And this one?" 'Nyx' asked in a low voice.
"According to the merchants passing through here, he was the champion of a tournament held in the past, used to determine the King's personal guard. Currently, he is a direct subordinate of the King and leads a group of elite soldiers." Dont wanted to gulp, but held it back. If this man was really level 100 or something, it was practically like facing Alucard... Only, according to his appearance, without divine equipment or sacred abilities... At least visibly.
"Is he really that strong?" Dont asked with a vague tone, as if just asking for the sake of it.
"... From what I know, it might just be a rumor..." The town chief replied.
Dont then was surprised by the sound of the blade cutting through the air, and when she turned her gaze, Black Abyss was pointing a white lance threateningly at the man, who looked quite impressed, as if the lance had appeared out of nowhere in front of him.
"And how do I know you're telling the truth? We just eliminated an entire group of soldiers who came to massacre this town, and believe me, I have no problem eliminating another group..."
"It's okay, Titania, lower the weapon." Dont tried to calm Black Abyss with false exasperation.
She lowered the lance, but still represented a threat, keeping the weapon with its edge up as she stuck it into the ground, staring directly at the Captain Warrior.
Gazeff coughed into his hand, looking at the town chief.
"I suppose you are the town chief. May I ask who these people are...?"
"Fufu~ Don't worry~ I'm Nyx... Morgause... Countess of... I'm from a distant land~ But we're here with an honorable purpose that... However, we cannot reveal... These are Titania, the... Paladin du Blanc! To make a comparison, she would be the equivalent of you, the Warrior Captain of our kingdom~ Alongside Arthur... The... Damascus Knight~! A prodigy specifically in charge of my care~ These two are my bodyguards~ And this... Uh... Giant behind me..." Dont pointed to her summoning. "Is a monster I have under my control thanks to this collar." She pointed to her collar as a lock, although she would never use an item with such a weak effect as controlling level 30 demons. "We saw that this town was being attacked by some soldiers, and I decided to intervene... Yes~" Dont said with her hands on her hips and puffing up her chest a bit.
At the presentation, Gazeff hummed reflectively and got off his horse... To proceed to make a deep bow towards Dont.
"Thank you for saving this town, I won't be able to repay you enough for your kindness."
Currently, the Queen of Titania was either waving her hands in confusion, putting a disgusted face at the memory of a random guy asking her out in high school in that way, and almost satisfaction at seeing someone bowing to her. Her ego, clearly, strengthened.
Regardless, Dont could tell that Gazeff was an honorable person, at least according to her superficial analysis.
To bow to an unknown person almost instantly in such a grateful manner despite his high military position showed the kind of person Gazeff was. Not that she was an expert in analyzing people...
"Ahem. Well, there's no need to be so formal here~ Hm~ I actually decided to save this town with a reward in mind for my services~" Dont said with some pride and a little elegant flourish, maintaining a certain kindness without making the warrior feel bad.
"Oh, a reward... I see... However, please forgive my ignorance; I have never heard of any of the names or titles you mentioned, Lady Nyx."
Dont blinked slightly.
"Oh, well, yes... We are from a very, very, veeeery distant land~ Beyond the horizon~ Where the sun hides~" Dont said the first nonsense that came to her mind. "It could be said that we are travelers in search of our goal~"
"And we are already two hours late..." Black Abyss added somewhat sighing, following the act.
"Oh, travelers then... Hm, I see. I apologize for wasting your time, Lady Nyx... But, could I know what happened to the men who came and attacked the village...?" In response to Gazef's question, Dont felt an imaginary drop of sweat fall down her temple.
"Uh... Well, most of them were executed, so there shouldn't be a problem with them... I'd prefer not to speak explicitly about how." Dont said with a false tremor in her voice, wanting to give Gazef the impression of a somewhat inexperienced or unaccustomed noble to death.
Black Abyss, for her part, pointed backward with her finger, being 3 meters tall and static, with clear red stains on her sword and body.
In response, Gazef simply nodded, understanding the implication.
They fell into an uncomfortable silence for a few seconds, with Dont with her hands on her hips, chest puffed up, and a somewhat arrogant smile on her face, and Gazef thinking some things, just letting out a light laugh and looking at the Demon under the human disguise.
"I see. Again, I want to thank you, Lady Nyx, for your kindness in saving this village."
"A-Ah, yes. It's nothing~" She felt streams of sweat running down her back.
"If it's not too much trouble, I would like some details about what happened from Lady Nyx, or from her bodyguards if she prefers."
"A-Ah, yes, if that's the case, let's head to my ca-" The village chief was about to propose kindly until a soldier of Gazef came running, agitated from so much running.
And he shouted.
"Captain! There are many shadows surrounding the area. They are approaching the village!"
Dont wanted to shoot herself right now, at least one without damage, but unfortunately, she couldn't...
...
"Hm... Indeed, there's a group of people..." Dont said as she looked through the vantage point towards a hill bathed in the evening light, where several people in light attire and strange helmets, without weapons in their hands, were waiting. They were lined up side by side, with a helmetless man, apparently the leader, with blond hair, very blue eyes, and a scar on his cheek, in the middle of such a group.
Dont could give so many details due to her incredible sight, seeing the men as if they were right in front of her. However, what caught the queen's attention the most were the creatures floating alongside the stationed men.
Creatures in blue-white armor, larger than every man there. Shining with a faint celestial light. They had large wings covered with the same armor, with a bright red visor in their helmets. And most notably, halos of light above their heads.
Dont knew them. She had researched the Angels of Yggdrasil because they were her obvious antithesis as a Demon. She wasn't an expert in Angelology even with such research, but something was better than nothing.
They were Archangels Flame. Angelic Summons of... Very low level.
They were Angels capable of being summoned with a level 3 spell. Therefore, at a level between 20 and 30, or even lower it could be.
Obviously, their statistics and power varied depending on the summoner's ability, but if one summoned an ant, no matter how strong the summoner was, the ant would at most reach the strength of a dog maybe...
"Incluso yo puedo invocar esas cosas… ¿Se supone que son una amenaza? O tal vez un señuelo… {Even I can summon those things, Are they supposed to be a threat? Or maybe a bait…}" Black Abyss spoke to Dont, attracting the attention of those present, they didn't recognize such language, undoubtedly they were people from far away.
"Podría ser… No bajes la guardia. Podrían estar probando las aguas antes de invocar a un Ángel de 10º Nivel o algo así. {Could be... Don't lose your guard. They could be testing the waters before summoning a 10th level Angel or something like that.}" Dont said in the same language, noticing the others present. "Ah, um. My apologies, we tend to speak in our native language without realizing it sometimes..." Dont apologized falsely, diverting her attention from the Angels.
Obviously, without avoiding noticing the strongest Angel among them. A Principality Observation, larger than the other Angels, with long white robes along with its white armor, a yellow shield with a sun symbol on it on its left arm, and a white scepter in its other hand, with more details than the Archangels Flame, a pair more wings and a halo with some more details.
An Angel that... Was also of low level. It was a level 4 magic summon, ranging, again, between levels 30 and 40. Even the Infernal Protector could kill it without having the bonuses that Dont's classes gave her, although they weren't many.
The Principality Observation was a support unit that enhanced allies' defense while not moving. It was somewhat useless because it increased it by insignificant values, but well, it was better than nothing.
And of course, there was the possibility that it was also a deception.
"I think we agree that we won't know their true power until we face them. Maybe they have something more than those simple Angels." Stronoff present looked at Black Abyss, surprised by the confidence she had in calling such summons simple. "Miss Nyx, will you also come? Or will you keep a watch from a distance?" Titania asked.
"Ah, um... Well, hehe~ You know I'm not very good at direct combat~" Dont said with false nervousness, actually hoping that Black Abyss wouldn't rush in. "Actually, I would prefer if you stay with me, Titania..."
"I see." Black Abyss said, then looking at the Angels again, it was possible, very possible that it's just a bait, so if this guy goes first, she could check it. "No choice then, I'll stay here protecting you." Titania exclaimed.
Dont just nodded, now looking at Gazef.
"Ahem. Sir Stronoff. Not to insinuate anything, but I'm sure those guys are not here for us..." Dont said to the warrior. "In fact, we didn't know much about the existence of the Slane Theocracy, if your assumption that they are one of their 'Scriptures' is correct, then we have no idea why they are here... Which only leaves one option..."
Gazef just smiled a bit, looking down, and then out the window, at those men waiting for him.
"It seems you have some... Enemies, Mr. Stronoff." Dont joked a bit, trying not to bother the warrior with such a light and graceless attempt at a joke.
Gazef just let out a light laugh, and looked at Dont with a certain determination.
"Lady Nyx. I know you just ordered your bodyguard to stay with you, but I want to know if it's possible to employ her. If you need payment, I have a few gold coins."
At the mention of gold, Dont became somewhat interested, but didn't react, just giving a somewhat uncomfortable smile.
"My apologies, but... I have to decline... Resolutely." She wasn't sure why she added 'resolutely,' but she felt she had to.
"... Even if you just lend us your giant servant, that's fine."
"I have to decline again..." Now she was getting irritated...
"Oh... In that case, by decree of the Kingdom's Law, I can compel you to submit to mandatory military service."
Before Alucard or Black Abyss could lash out at Gazef's words, Dont stopped them.
"Ahem. I see... If you plan to use the authority of your kingdom, we'll have to put up some resistance to that..."
At this, Gazef, who had taken an authoritative stance, just relaxed, laughing a bit as he knew from the beginning the stupidity of his attempt at 'dominance,' treating the threat of resistance with triviality while also dismissing his use of authority as a military leader with the same triviality.
"Well... I can't help but laugh at the thought of being crushed before facing the Theocracy."
Dont just let out a somewhat uncomfortable laugh.
"Ah, haha... Yes... I appreciate your understanding of my decision."
Gazef squinted his eyes slightly as he looked at the beautiful woman, but at the somewhat uncomfortable look of the maiden, he relented.
"... Continuing with this doesn't make much sense. Well then, Lady Nyx, please take care. Thank you once again for saving this village."
Gazef took off his armored glove, offering his hand to the woman, hoping she accepts his gratitude in whatever way she sees fit.
Dont extended her hand after removing her fingerless glove, and took Gazef's hand delicately, shaking hands with him with a gentleness befitting a noble lady.
And the Captain Warrior couldn't help but think about how soft her hands were, as if she had never done hard work in her life. He just laughed at the crude thought.
"I'm very grateful that you protected the innocent villagers from being massacred. Also... I didn't want to ask this, but I hope you can protect the villagers again. I have nothing to offer you at the moment, but I ask that you accept my request... I beg you..."
Dont remained silent for a second at Gazef's words, unsure how to really respond.
The truth. If it were up to her, she would let the village be reduced to ashes and dust without even blinking, but she saw it as a waste of effort to allow that.
"If you ever visit the capital of the Kingdom, I promise I will give you anything you desire. I swear this by the name of Gazef Stronoff." Gazef intended to kneel, and although Dont liked where this was going, enjoying the feeling of absolute authority over another person, Black Abyss interrupted the warrior.
"It's not necessary." She said, touching his shoulder. "Perhaps I misjudged you, Stronoff. But, despite not wanting to insinuate anything, it's time for you to leave." Titania said with a soft voice, but... Stronoff could feel that it was kind.
"I see... Thank you for your kindness, Lady Titania." Gazef nodded again, stopping his attempt to kneel.
"Ahem. We assure you that we will protect the village even if you can't. I promise this~" Dont said with a hand on her heart. Fortunately, the lore crap about Demons fulfilling their contracts didn't exist... Although she felt an annoying tingling in her neck...
With this, Gazef smiled, more calm and relaxed. As if a burden had been lifted from him.
"Thank you, Lady Nyx. Now I can attack without worries."
Dont just nodded gracefully at the warrior.
He turned around, sure that, even though it would surely be his last day, these people would live to see the sun again...
Although when he had left the room, Titania's beautiful voice called his name.
"Stronoff."
He stopped, looking toward the source of the voice with confusion.
"Do you believe the words of a stranger?" She asked.
"Hm." Stronoff laughed a bit. "From what I've seen of you, I know I can trust your words." He said with a somewhat confident but polite smile.
"Today you won't die." Titania said, then turning around and returning to the same house they had come out of.
But... Although she didn't say it with any emotion, it was reassuring, almost a truth... As if an Angel were saying it.
Stronoff just smiled again. Certainly, he had met some good people, and he knew he was leaving the village in good hands.
...
Dont looked out the window uninterested. She was watching the entire development of the battle between Gazef and his soldiers against the Angels.
He had shown some interesting things, like strange abilities or impulses that she certainly couldn't identify. Especially because, with her enhanced and acute hearing, she didn't identify the names of these abilities.
He had killed several Angels, even considered that he might win for a moment, but Gazef didn't pay attention to the number 1 lesson one should follow when fighting an summoner.
Never aim at the summon, always at the summoner.
If the summoner died, their summons would die too, like a tower that lost its central pillar. As imposing as it may be, if it lost the only thing that kept it standing, it would fall without resistance.
Although... Dont was impressed when she saw a beam of light shooting from outside the village towards the battlefield, was... Was it Black Abyss's replacement spear!? Wow... That was a surprise... An unexpected one.
The spear pierced through 4 Angels, shattering them and hitting the ground, bouncing and damaging one of the summoners until it disappeared among the trees behind.
Dont sighed, annoyed that Black Abyss's strange request to go get some fresh air was for that... Ugh, she shouldn't have expected less... So impulsive...
She shook her head with a slight smile. As expected of her. Anyway, she wanted to try some things.
"Arthur. Go and take Gazef and his men, take them to the shelter. Then stay here to keep watch..."
"Understood, my Queen." Alucard said bowing, turning around and walking towards the cabin door, looking outside at Black Abyss, who was just standing looking in the direction of the battlefield.
He bowed to her and in a quick maneuver disappeared, heading towards where the battle was taking place.
Dont groaned somewhat exasperated, but prepared for the worst.
