A cottage exploded and a huge,red bearded man threw his weapon in it, hit a mountain, half of the mountain blew up, the man raised his hand and his hammer flew back into his hand with a clap of thunder. The man grinned as giants approached his home, his goats were long dead eaten by he, he was going to show these giants he was boss, as one particular giant came into view, Thor raised his hammer and a bolt of lightning dropped from the sky and struck the weapon, and with a cry, he threw the hammer right into their middle, one tried to pick the hammer, then the packed energy in it, exploded, killing all the monsters.
The huge red haired man yelled in victory, his voice echoing in the mountains, he killed his goats and roasted them on a fire, he muttered something inaudible while rubbing his beard, he shrugged and chewed down his meal, bones and all.
I woke up gasping, I had moved to my room in the night, Aunty was not completely human and her Valkyrie system healed the wound faster.
"Your Damned ring hasn't worked, Aunty Sara," I said and she smiled sadly
"Keep it. It will soon" she said, "Go grab your things ready. I'll give you a brief round up, "
I grabbed my things and strapped the backpack onto my shoulder, we did some routines and drills, until we couldn't find anything to train for, Aunty Sara kissed my forehead,
"Go boy, make the gods be with you, find Valhalla, make sure you fight well before dying" she said and I chuckled.
"I heard you," I said and walked out, the gate closed behind me and I couldn't help but feel as it might be the last, I saw this place

I board the bus going to Orlando, where the monsters I was to battle, supposedly were, the bus was filled with people, a whole lot of scowling, weary and hardened people, it was my first time boarding a bus. I dropped at the stop and came face to face with a large school building
This is it, this is what Aunty Sara mentioned
I looked around, no sign of any monsters anywhere, as I turned to school, the building shook as an explosion rocked the building, I charged running towards the school at full speed and slipped in, students ran in no particular direction, there was chaos everywhere, I looked around for an impending threat but couldn't see any, then I sensed something behind me, before I could turn I was sent flying and I crashed into a desk. I groaned, it felt like I had broken a rib or two, I raised my eyes to stare at my attacker, it was what Aunty Sara had called a dark elf.
"You'll make good food for our wolves, son of Thor" he said and raised his sword, I rose to my feet and unconsciously flicked my hand with the ring on it and a golden sword appeared in my hands.
"Woah" I stared at the sword in awe, then glance back at the elf, "You know, they say Gold conducts electricity" I said and raised the sword, lightning struck it and I threw it at the elf, the sword passed through the elf like butter, I stood there staring at the sword on the floor, screams rang out again and I picked the sword and ran out into the hall, some students were huddled in a corner while a large wolf licked its lips hungrily
"Hey doggy" I said and the wolf turned, he probably didn't like being called doggy, he ignored the children and charged for me as he neared I rolled away, as quick as lightning then sliced off its head, the students stared at me, then screamed louder
"Oh man, the mortals" I mumbled and hurried off, so far I had killed two monsters, Aunty Sara said the plan was too die, who was gonna….. a large roar disrupted my musings and I knew whatever had roared like that was the real deal, i hefted my sword and headed for the sound of the roar, I turned a corner and came face-to-face with a large wolf the size of a small cottage, it opened its mouth and let out a deafening roar. I covered my ears and stared at the wolf in fear, how the hell was I going to fight this, Aunty Sara word rang in my head.
When afraid or in doubt, think of who you are fighting for
I thought of my mother and rage rose in me, the entire sky around me darkened and the wolf finally noticed and growled.
"You came, Liam, son of Thor, eh? But I can assure you, you won't go to Valhalla." The wolf said.
"I like to see you stop me" I retorted and I raised my hands and thunder rumbled and lightning streaked across the sky the once clear blue sky turned dark, i clenched my fist and torrents of lightning bolts hit the giant wolf who roared in agony when the hail of lightning stopped the wolf rose, its body smoking, and stared at me in hate,
"You are dead boy" it growled and it backhanded me sending me flying out of the school and crashing into a SUV, the wolf broke through the walls and charged for me, i groggily rose to my feet, I knew fighting with a sword will be a useless, I prayed to my dad
Pls dad, grant me the power to destroy this beast, I can't call down anymore lightning bolts, lend me your strength
I closed my eyes and concentrated, the sky darkened once more, it was almost bitch black, then a monstrous bolt of lightning struck the wolf on the head, sending it off-balance as it charged for me, it howled in agony and bucked to the ground, but rose again and charged; I mustered everyone ounce of energy in me and called down the biggest bolt I have seen, it hit the huge wolf again, it roared as electricity coursed through him, then he exploded. The impact of the explosion sent me off my feet and I crashed into the midst of some dark elves, one grinned menacingly and stabbed at me but I summoned strength and rolled off and slashed the elf legs, sending it crashing into the ground, I spun and stabbed at another, in the same momentum I chopped of the last one head.
My body ached all over and I was still not dead yet, how was I ever going to get to Valhalla, maybe if I stabbed…..hehe just kidding, Someone tapped my shoulders and I nearly cut the person head off( I like going for the head, don't ask why) it was a girl.
"My sister, she is trapped in there, you are the one that saved us from that armed robber, please help me save my sister before the building explodes"
I stared at her Armed robber? Seriously? Is that how mortals see monsters, I nearly laughed, but controlled myself and ran towards the building and followed the direction the girl gave me and sure enough, her sister lay on the floor. Large chunks of block covered her body. I didn't know how I was going to lift that but I knew I had to try. I grabbed the first chunk and slowly lifted it and flung it aside, I grabbed another and shifted it, leaving the last one. I was tired and this was the largest chunk. The girl groaned and I sighed and with a grunt, set it aside, I watched as fire spread along the school building
"Come on," I said to the girl and helped her up as she limped I got to a window and Made her go through, she stepped out and spotted her sister who ran to meet her. A kick in the back sent me flying and I crashed into a wall, dazed and tired, I climb to my feet and gripped my sword. Three dark elves surrounded me, black serrated sword in their grip, flame's continued to lick up the walls, they charged and I stood at the ready, as one slashed for me, I blocked with my sword and on the same momentum kicked the other legs sending him headfirst to the ground but I turned to late and the last one stabbed me in the shoulder, I yelled in agony and thunder rumbled, I slashed at his torso, cutting him in half. I stared as the flames surrounded me and limped wearily to an open window, the window was a little bit high, so I paused to take a breath, my sword turned to its ring form and as I wanted to climb the window the ground beneath me gave away, I fell to an abyss and the building exploded, as I fell I only thought of one thing
What an awful way to die.
