Early in the afternoon, Amaia ran past the people who were getting in and out of the Levinson Corporation. She held her handbag in one hand and held out her ID card with another before putting it forward in front of the scanner. Thankfully, she was able to check in five minutes before 2.
She still had five minutes left to show her face in front of Adriann, so without paying heed to anything else, she rushed toward the elevator.
"Hey, Amaia, why are you in such a hurry?" Molly, the receptionist, greeted Amaia before frowning.
"Hi Molly! Sorry, I'm late." Amaia yelled back without stopping, and Molly chuckled.
Just as the elevator door was closing, Amaia sped up and stopped it in time. There were around six people inside. Amaia got inside with an awkward smile and pressed the 27th-floor button where Adriann's office was. She exhaled and waited for the elevator to reach the 27th floor as soon as possible.
