I saw Maya and Qai running toward us. There she is. I could guess she would be there when I saw the wide field.
They stop in front of me. Maya slowly got off Qai's back and hung her head low. I know she will think I'm mad at her. I am but not really. Qai went toward Blaze.
"Maya." I firmly called her name.
"Y--Yes?" she fiddles with her finger.
"What did I tell you just now?" I ask.
Maya bites her lower lip and hesitates to answer. "Stay by...y--your side."
I sigh. Seeing her like this makes it hard for me to get angry at her. But if I didn't, she would do it again next time. I bend to her height trying to make eye contact with me.
"That's right. I'm not mad at you for exploring but don't wander around by yourself. It is dangerous. I don't want you to get chased by the demonic again."
"What if you got chased again and I'm not there for you? You can't rely on Qai. They are not strong enough to fight the demonic." I explain.
