I use the wet cloth on Maya's face. Today is an adventuring day for her. She got chased by demons and witnessed the bloody scene.
"Love, how about you take a rest? You need it." I look at her with concern.
"Mm, how...a--about you?" she asks.
"I will join you later. I need to meet Ruth first." I caressed her cheeks.
"Okay. P--Please...be hurry." she lifts her legs to the bed. I pull the duvet and tuck her in.
Before I leave, I need to get something from her. "Love, may I ask something from you?"
Her doe eyes stare at me with confusion. She titled her head as a sign of what is it. I can't believe my wife could be this cute. Well, she is.
"I need a little bit of your blood."
"My...b--blood?" she asks.
"Yes. I want Ruth to check on it. Please don't worry about it. Once it is done, I will tell you why I did it. Okay?" I said in a soft tone. I'm afraid she might take it in the wrong way.
