Me and my mother-in-law, Rubia walking in the garden. She asks me to join her since she wants fresh air.
"Anyway, how is life here, dear?" she asks.
"G--Good."
"Really? Do the servants treat you right? How about the food? The surroundings? The decoration of you and Ian's room?" Rubia throws a lot of questions at me.
"E--Everything is...f--fine, your m--majesty." I stop her.
"Dear, please don't call me that. You make it like we are strangers." she turns to me with a frown.
Then, how should I call her? Isn't we should be formal with a queen of the kingdom?
"I could see the confusion you had there. Do you mind...calling me a mother." she smiles.
Mother.
"You become my daughter. You are one of Croford's family members. So, who needs the formalities?" Rubia chuckles.
Calling her mother is kind of overwhelming for me. But she's the one who asks for it.
