Just a silly little warning: English is not my first language or my mother tongue, and so, I'd like to apologize in advance if there are grammatical errors, wrong spelling, etc. Also, I'd like to clear the misunderstanding that the world of this story is a Matriarchal World, which means that women are the ones who rule and are superior than men. Rather than calling the women as Queen, the women here in this world is addressed as "King" and the men are called "Queen". However, in those lower position such as Duke, Duchess, those are still the same with how we addressee them here in our own world. Men = "Prince/ Duke/ Count/ Earl/ etc."Women = "Princess/ Duchess/ Countess/ etc." ------Third Person's POV"Have you truly never commemorated your 100th day?"Even Lorelai tries her best to recall the memories of the true Sein Lorelai, but nothing in her mind has a memory of her commemoration of her 100th day. This is something that even herself is confused about. She definitely knows about this traditional ceremony held only for royal children in search for the next heir or a clue of what they will become in the future. However, why was it that she doesn't have any memories about it and she doesn't have any evidence of truly commemorating it."Usually, royal children like you will commemorate a 100th day ceremony to testify your worthiness as a royal. It doesn't matter who your father is, for as long as you are the child of the King herself.""What is this 100th day?" Sein asked, pretending to be clueless. Maybe if the queen will tell her about what happens during that ceremony then she might be able to recall it."On the day of your 100th day after being born, a ceremony will be held. The ceremony is specifically done into the Holy Knight's Cradle. It is a sacred place, granted and blessed by the Gods and Goddesses to assist the royal children, the future of our Kingdom.""During the ceremony, the infant will be placed in the entrance of the Cradle, meanwhile the King, the mother of the infant and the ministry will closely watch the infant as he/she explores the cradle until it chooses its very own weapon. The weapon that the infant had chosen will be the testament of his/her future and an indication of how strong the infant is as a swordmaster." The Queen continued. Everyone, including the twins, were listening closely already to their conversation, which reminded them of the swords that were hanging on the wall."I remember father, he told us before we go to sleep that we will use the swords in the future to protect big sister because she is weak and is not capable of wielding a sword."Sein's eyes widened in surprise, even the Queen was left dumbfounded at Felipe's words. Sein knew that their father had died four years ago and the twins were barely four years old at that time. How can a four year old kid remember the words that were told to him at that age and for the past four years now?"Felipe was it?" The Queen asked. Felipe only nodded in response and proceeded to eat his dessert. Felix who was just silently observing them suddenly raised his hand to get their attention."Father told us that sister cannot under any circumstances wield a sword, unless it is necessary for survival," Felix said. Felix, just like his twin Felipe, can remember the exact same words of their father to protect their big sister. There were several nights where their father would silently look at the swords at the wall. He would murmur about something to himself only."And why is that?" Queen Atlanta asked. A curiosity began to stir in his heart, he could feel his heart beat fast."He did not particularly say why. However, he told us that if she wields a sword she would rather be dead.""Felix!" Sein called out. She was confused and angry. No one could really tell. Not even herself could tell what she truly felt after hearing him.Was she really that weak? But all her life she was taught to swing and stabbed using a sword till her muscles in her arms got torn and her bones got cracked leaving serious injuries that she has to endure. How could he say that to her daughter that she should rather die than wield a sword? What was that sword training all about?Sein couldn't take it anymore. She rose up from her seat and excused herself, leaving behind the people in the dining room. Sein knows that she and her father don't get along well, but it was way too harsh to be treated like a fool."What in the world was that for?" She bursted out. Sein held her breath and looked up, stopping her tears from falling down. She felt like a fool.I am not Sein, she thought. Walking through the unfamiliar hallway, Sein realized she was all alone and there were no people in sight nor presence she could feel. The realization finally hit her."I guess, I really should have been dead quite a long time now."Sein sneaks inside one of the rooms and finds herself in what looks like an old library. She felt small and insignificant as she gazed up at the enormous ceiling and to her surprise the ceiling was filled with books. It was a genius architectural design that made her feel like she went on a trip to Europe. However, it was clear that the room was left unattended. The other bookshelves were covered in white cloth and some books were left scattered on the floor.Nonetheless, Sein was in awe. She forgot what she was feeling a while ago. Taking it all at once, it was a dream that she never even dreamed off. Everyone who knows, specifically to those bookworms, knows what it felt like to discover an aesthetically pleasing, historical and fancy library.Sein shook her head. It was not the time to immerse herself in the pleasure of reading books once again. She has spent her entire life in the hospital reading endlessly to distract herself from feeling all down and depressed at her situation. She needs to get out here. She needs to see the world and live."That's right, the badge!"Recalling what happened a few days ago during the assassination, Sein realized that most of her things were left behind at the castle. As she wandered her eyes to the room, Sein saw several windows that could fit an entire adult from going in or out of this room. She went straight to the window and analyzed the height from the window down to the ground.Sein was no longer afraid of such things like this, but she couldn't afford getting injured as she was planning on joining one of the two badges that she received. Opening the big window, it's as if the wind outside were excited to enter the room. The dust in the room flew and scattered through the air. Sein looked back at the room and saw the pages of the books on the floor flipping from the wind blow.Looking back outside from the window, there was a tree branch about 1 meter away from her. If she could jump right there, she can afford sneaking out quietly to the Queen's castle. Although, wearing a gown and jewelry seems to un-lady like to jump."My lady!""Princess Sein!"Sein was surprised to hear her name. It seems she has spent quite some time now and people are starting to look for her. Without a care, Sein grabbed her gown pulling it up in one hand and using her other hand, she pulled herself to climb. Wearing heels made her wobble in her position, so she took off her heels and threw them outside. Thou shall not leave evidence, she thought."Could she be inside one of these rooms?""I think so."Before it was too late, Sein jumped high and reached the nearest tree branch. As soon as she felt her feet touching the tree, Sein immediately grabbed the twigs for support. To her surprise, she was able to land at the branch of the tree safely without a scratch. Although, Sein was almost hugging the trunk of the tree because the twigs suddenly snapped."I may either look like a lizard or a squirrel right now," she said to herself.Analyzing her surroundings, Sein quietly climbed down from the tree. She grabbed her heels and wore them. Fortunately, there was no one there and climbing to the otherside of the wall was easy because of the thick vines covering the walls. After several climbs and challenges, Sein was able to arrive out of breath to their old castle. However, even before she arrived at the castle, Sein was already praying a thousand times that no corpse would be there rotting freely inside the room where the assassination happened.Walking inside the castle, the difference between this old, worn out and almost abandoned castle compared to the extravagant castle filled with golds and gems, luxurious design, paintings and vases was way too big, which made her realize just how poor they were as a royal. The silence was deafening as she walked upstairs. This castle was once filled with laughter and joy despite how gloomy this place was. The twins would sometimes run around the castle and explore everywhere. It seems this castle is now officially abandoned. When Sein arrived at the master's bedroom, she was hesitant to get inside. "There's no rotting smell or whatsoever," she said.Sein barged into the room. Bewildered, she saw no blood nor corpses on the floor, rather the room was clean and the furniture was covered with white cloth. Sein sighed in relief."They must have cleaned it before leaving."Sein walked inside the room and went to grab a chair. She placed it beside a tall and slender closet and using the chair she climbed on it and reached to the top of the closet. Luckily, this closet was not used by anyone except her as it was already dirty and broken, but it was a good hiding spot for her stuff.Covered in thick black cloth, Sein went straight to the bathroom. When she opened it, a mask, a cloak and the clothes she wore during the seasonal hunt were there, all clean and waiting to get used to again. A smile crept across her face. Ever since she transmigrated inside the world of the novel she read, one of the things she wanted to see was the Holy Knight's Cradle and considering how even the real Sein Lorelai was not able to go to that place, she herself came up with an idea. After joining one of those two invitation badges, she will sneak into that place at sundown and hold the ceremony herself. "I just have to walk and choose a sword, right?"
