Chereads / The Crownless Throne / Chapter 5 - Possessing the 11th Princess of Deborah Kingdom II

Chapter 5 - Possessing the 11th Princess of Deborah Kingdom II

When Archer came back, he was carrying snacks with him, which I was really glad. I have never eaten since the night of transmigration.

"It's been three days already!?"

"You were in deep slumber, Lorelai."

Archer said that after treating my wounds, he went back to the room to go get the main character's body. It was already out of sight. Archer panicked and hurriedly went back to where I and my brothers were hiding. The morning came, and Archer decided to find her in this entire mansion, and fortunately, there was no trace of her anymore. Archer and the twins just waited day and night for three whole days for me to wake up. This is insane, everything is truly insane.

Anyway, I knew she would disappear right after our fight because, apparently, the book stated that there was a spy who happened to have an interest in her. The spy was a priest that traveled all the way here to find the Saintness of this world. Ten years from now, Sabrina Walter, the main character of this novel's world, will become Saintness. The one and only temple will announce the appearance of the Saintness, the blessed child of God, and the one that will save the world from the wrath of the dark monarch.

The next few days passed smoothly. I was able to finally get out of bed and roam around the entire castle we were staying in. Although everything about me seems so weird and new, this is most probably because it has been a while since I was able to move without any worries about my health.

"Sister!"

"Careful Felipe, don't run around holding that heavy sword."

I didn't realize it until now, but my younger brothers were the same age as Sabrina, which means as soon as the three of them turned eighteen, the story of the novel, The Monster Saintness will begin. I literally fought with an eight-year-old kid and almost died from her.

"Sister?"

"Put that sword down, Felipe. We'll train as soon as I recover, and a wooden sword is the appropriate sword we will use for the training." I said, while taking back the sword I used to fight Sabrina. I should probably take the other sword too, just in case.

"But- "

"No more buts, Felix. Besides, that sword is not yet suitable for your age and physique. Go get your wooden sword instead."

Squinting my eyes from the brightness of the sun, it had been a while since I went out and relaxed with nature. No high building, noisy roommates, the smell of medicine and alcohol, just birds, flowers and trees. A light breeze of air prickled my skin, and the scent of the flowers soothed my mind. This is the perfect moment to slowly come up with a plan on how to survive the next assassination. Ironically, this takes me back to when I was a kid and was planning how to not get killed by my drug addict Uncle in the meadow of wildflowers.

For the past few days, I have been trying to recall the story of the novel, The Monster Saintness. This is a fantasy-romance novel I read right before I died, so it wasn't that hard to recall its entire story.

While I was recovering, I also took the opportunity to get to know this world more through my brothers and Archer. I need more information about this world since the book mentioned only a few statements about it, and it focused mainly on the characters' journeys. But one thing I know for sure about this world is that this world is called Aesteria and women are rather superior to men. They hold an absolute powerful position and authority, just like my biological mother, the King of Deborah Kingdom.

Unlike in my original world, where men are much more supreme than women, women here rule the world. Just like Sein Lorelai, women are the ones that protect and do all the physical labor. For instance, like most of the knights here, they are more composed of women, and even the heads of an aristocratic family are women. It seems there has been a swap in gender superiority, a social phenomenon where women are recognized to be much more capable and superior to men. Also, I can't believe that even the role of motherhood is for men.

Another thing I learned over the past few days was about Sein Lorelai's life as a royal princess. Sein Lorelai is the 11th princess of this Kingdom, and her mother, the King, has a lot of husbands, or rather concubines, which means she has a lot of children, and I have a lot of half-siblings. It wasn't even an issue for this kingdom because it can accommodate as many children as she wants. She even gave her husbands a castle to live in and servants to assist them in comfortably raising their children. She may sound like a good and generous mother, it apparently has a meaning behind it.

"Being a royal is no joke," the male lead said, who is one of the princes in this kingdom and one of my half-siblings. He said that the husbands of the King silently battle to get her attention and make their child the next ruler of the kingdom. The castle is our territorial zone and, at the same time, the battlefield. It will never be a safe zone because assassins can easily enter the castle and kill you in any possible way. Every child of the King, even the crown princess, has gone through a lot of assassinations. However, not all the king's husbands can afford to send some spies or assassins, just like my father and the male lead's father.

One thing that Sein Lorelai would never forget was how protective her father was to them, especially when the night came. Sein's father was one of the few male knights of this kingdom, so every time he guards them and fights assassins, in Sein's eyes, his father was the coolest knight she had ever seen.

Sein Lorelai was determined to wield a sword and be a knight, just like those two in front of me. They have been swinging their wooden swords for the past thirty minutes now. It's obvious how they lack exercise and overall physical condition to fight.

Felix's breath was unstable while Felipe was almost out of breath. I'll have to improve their physical health first before teaching them how to fight, and what they are doing right now is for me to examine and analyze their bodies. I didn't even let them stretch at first, so that I could quickly introduce them to the pain and let them decide whether to continue or not. This is also good for adaptation to the pain and adjustment of their body for the upcoming full body training. This takes me back again, when I was a teenager and the last oldest thug left in the street. I also teach kids at their age and even younger how to become strong and be able to fight. And when I was able to get out of the thug life and go to college, I got diagnosed with an incurable disease and passed away. What a cruel world indeed. Now I wonder how cruel this world is to me?

I noticed that Sein's father lacks the knowledge to teach a person how to actually wield a sword, based on how I ended up after a fight. To be more precise, the method of training methods on most all the knights here in this world is considerably wrong but quite advantageous. Physical training is not yet in their vocabulary and instead, they will go straight ahead with wielding a sword, swinging and blocking. And what seems to be a fascinating sword technique is just a random sword movement with a little to no effective offensive and defensive attack, like a martial art, kind of dance movement.

"Sister, I'm tired already. Can I take a break now?" Felipe said as he put down his wooden sword on the ground.

So cute!

"But it has only been thirty minutes. How about we go for a hunt to cool down?"

"A hunt? I heard that tomorrow is a seasonal hunt hosted by the Queen himself." Archer said as he put down the pastries and drinks. The twins were so joyful with the snacks that they went straight ahead and ate. It seems that I also have to discipline them. For now, I'll let them enjoy themselves.

"Archer, what seasonal hunt are you talking about?" I asked.

"Well, I heard it from the other servants when I went to get some supplies. They said that a lot of animals and beasts are seen in the forests lately. It was an unexpected occurrence, since animals and beasts usually come out when winter is coming. However, several knights and citizens reported that animals and beasts are coming out for some unknown reasons, and when the royal guards investigate the situation, it seems that we are currently experiencing what they called a miracle season."

"Miracle season?" I asked as I grabbed a cookie he made.

"That--that's right, my lady. We call this miracle season because ever since the prophecy came out, we've been suffering from a lot of crisis. Also, not only animals and beasts are bountiful in this season, but so are fruits and crops!"

Well, Archer seems happy about that miracle season.

"When did the prophecy come out?"

Although I'm aware of what the prophecy is, the book didn't mention when it came out. Seeing Archer's delighted reaction to this miracle season, it seems people here have been suffering some kind of crisis for quite some time now.

"Seven days before you were born, so it was fourteen years ago. Did Sir Dante not mention it?"

"I probably forgot."

Sein didn't have any memory of his father telling her about the prophecy. The only memory she has was how her father protected them and his lecture about how to survive. Both of them didn't have a great father and daughter relationship, unlike the twins, so sometimes Sein is extremely jealous of the twins.

Well, I wouldn't blame her. I can totally relate to Sein.

"Thank you so much for the cookies, Archer. It was delicious." I said, and grabbed the twins' wooden sword.

"Huh? Ah—yes, of course. You're welcome, my lady."

Archer always addresses Sein like this when they are not alone. I smiled at him and proceeded on cleaning the mess of the twins.

"The sun is about to set. We should all go and hunt for our dinner tonight, and we might catch a beautiful sunset at the highest peak of the mountain."

This might be one of the most beautiful memories of Sein. She would always sneak out of the castle to go hunt some small animals and cook them at her favorite place, where a beautiful sunset could be seen. The place might be her sanctuary, considering the stressful life of being a poor princess. I want to see that for myself with the twins and Archer.
