Chereads / Quick Transmigration: Falling in love / Chapter 4 - Bloodline Rose (4)

Chapter 4 - Bloodline Rose (4)

Benefiting from the excellent night vision of vampires, Cassie could easily see his current appearance. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing a beautiful and enticing collarbone.

Cassie raised an eyebrow slightly. His thoughts were transparent.

She couldn't help but feel that, looking at him like this, there was no need for her to take action. Just a mention, and he would willingly lay bare his heart...

Vampires didn't need rest during the night. It was currently four in the morning, with only a faint glow on the horizon, still in the midst of the night.

Inside the castle's banquet hall, the nobles were still indulging in chaotic revelry.

And here...

It would happen soon. Cassie silently thought.

"Your Majesty," Xavier raised the corners of his lips, his tone gentle as water, "I heard from the maids that Your Majesty hasn't fed for three days."

He knew she was listening, her eyes open.

He spoke with the utmost patience, coaxing word by word, "Your Majesty has just awakened, and not feeding is detrimental to Your Majesty's health."

"Is it that the blood servants brought by the maids don't suit Your Majesty's taste?"

He sat down by the bed, casually brushing aside the strands of golden hair scattered on Cassie's face, smiling, "Your Majesty, this is not behaving."

Speaking as such, he casually undid another button.

Cassie: ...

So, he decided to take matters into his own hands?

Speak properly; there's no need to undress.

However, Cassie couldn't stop Xavier from acting. Using his fingertip, he lightly cut a shallow wound at the collarbone.

The location was chosen quite delicately, Cassie thought meaningfully. If this were a harem story, he would undoubtedly be the clever and cunning imperial concubine.

The sweet and bloody smell permeated the air.

He knew too well how irresistible he was to Little Rose at this moment.

Little Rose had never tasted blood, so feeling uncomfortable was normal. But that was okay; he could teach her slowly.

Starting with the blood of purebloods, in the future, even the most superior and fresh blood elixirs wouldn't satisfy her.

"Xavier."

Sure enough, he heard Little Rose say his name.

Her voice was genuinely seductive—Xavier really loved her ethereal and charming voice. Unfortunately, she spoke so little that he couldn't get enough of it.

"Your Majesty," he smiled, "Xavier's life belongs to Your Majesty, for Your Majesty to enjoy."

The girl sat up.

She tilted her head, her eyes innocent and confused, like a little deer, yet with the most beautiful and charming face.

Xavier embraced her, pulling her onto his lap. "Would Your Majesty like to try?"

The girl raised her head, her grape-like watery purple eyes looking straight at him.

He was captivated by her gaze and, at that moment, felt a warm sensation at the wound on his collarbone.

She licked away the oozing blood.

His whole body stiffened, a scorching heat spreading along with the blood flow, and his nose was filled with her fragrance.

It was a feeling he had never experienced before—a boiling sensation from the depths of the soul.

"Xavier," the petite girl, pressed against his chest, asked, and he heard her, "Are you willing to give me your heart?"

He gazed at her, the warmth in his eyes seemingly capable of melting the ice and snow of February. "Of course, I am willing. Your Majesty, I am willing to offer you everything."

Nothing actually happened.

Cassie felt frustrated. What was the standard for obtaining soul fragments? Did she really have to dig out Xavier's heart?

That would be too gruesome. Wasn't there a painless version?

Moreover... do vampires even have hearts?

Or maybe, she should change her approach. Perhaps Xavier's feelings for her were not deep enough.

He flirted endlessly, probably just out of curiosity and natural attraction.

She needed to think of another way.

Cassie turned her head and sniffed at the exposed neck. Finding a suitable spot, she lightly bit down.

Xavier grunted, his long fingers encircling her slender waist, and the blood-red hue in his eyes deepened. Her movements were slow, her teeth not sharp, and she bit with a gentle force, consuming a minimal amount. It was less like feeding and more like a small cat scratching at a person.

He squinted slightly, his other hand casually stroking her golden hair, seemingly enjoying the quiet moment.

Cassie soon lifted her head. Having just fed, the potent power of the pureblood flowed in her blood, and a hint of confusion appeared in her eyes.

During moments of confusion, one was most obedient. Xavier touched the end of her hair, and she naturally leaned into him.

He leaned close to her ear and whispered softly, "We'll go out when it's dawn, alright?"

She nestled in his arms, obediently humming in agreement, melting hearts in the process.

As dawn broke, Xavier leisurely straightened his shirt and left the queen's room. His trusted aide, Odis, stood in the corridor, astounded to detect a change in Xavier's scent.

His expression became indescribable. The esteemed and arrogant Prince Xavier had been marked.

Once this news got out, the entire vampire clan would be in shock— who dared to mark Prince Xavier? Wasn't that akin to seeking death?

His gaze involuntarily fell on the tightly closed door—they had all overlooked the influence of the queen on Xavier.

This was somewhat unexpected.

"Your Highness," he composed himself and respectfully waited on the side, "I've taken care of the matters you instructed."

Xavier nodded slightly.

Going to the human world was a bit troublesome; there were registrations for everything. Vampires identified each other by scent, making it much more convenient than humans. However, now he could openly take Cassie out to play.

Something more interesting was about to happen.

He smiled at the thought.

Now, he had found a new joy in life—taming Cassie.

How cute she must look, docile and gentle, lying in his arms.

A pair of purple eyes was too conspicuous. Before going out, Cassie used her magical powers to change her appearance. Having been a cultivator in her early years, she was adept at utilizing bodily abilities. The extent of the queen's strength was still unknown, but she could effortlessly manipulate it.

Her purple eyes transformed into a deep ink color, the seaweed-like golden hair replaced by long black strands, and her features softened, resembling a normal eighteen-year-old girl.

Xavier had prepared a whole wall of dresses for her. To be honest, Cassie wasn't very accustomed to such dresses and chose a relatively simple style.

The departure of the queen wouldn't cause much impact on the vampire clan—after all, most of the power still concentrated in the hands of Xavier behind the scenes; she was at most a mascot.

A carriage waited outside the castle. Seeing her approach gracefully, Xavier was genuinely stunned.

No one would have thought that the delicate girl before them was the rumored queen of the vampires.

"Your Majesty," his tone softened even more, "You look truly beautiful today."

Cassie nodded gracefully, placing her hand in his palm as he assisted her into the carriage.

He also changed his eye color to the common blue of the West, resembling the vastness of the sea.
