3rd Person POV
The black arrow flew towards Alex, who created a small golden shield that shattered as the arrow broke. However, instead of disappearing, the black liquid that composed the arrow enveloped Alex's entire body, and he soon collapsed to the ground. The winged beings, seeing this, were shocked.
Meanwhile, the leader, seeing this, smiled maliciously and transformed. His lower half turned entirely into a scorpion, his hands became dangerous, sharp claws, his tail emerged with a tip that seemed to signify danger and death, and his face turned animalistic. Before anyone could react, he ran towards me at high speed and shouted, "Attack the others!"
