Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7: WARNING?

SHE MOANED, as he thrust in and out of her relentlessly, sending intense waves of pleasures after each push. Elisabth couldn't really exactly remember how this have started. After Talliah kissed Vane, she hadn't spoken to him nor acknowledged his existence for an hour when they arrived in their suite. She was seething with a mixture of uncertainty and disbelief, but mainly she was pondering.

Truthfully, It hadn't really affect her one bit. She was more concern on how the public would take it. Would they see Vane in a negative light, accusing him of infidelity or betrayal? Or would they turn their judgment toward her because they might thing she let that happened in front of her? She have to call Missy to know.

"Oh... God.." Her reflecting was once again interrupted, when she felt his thumb rubbed her clit. She tightly clutched the sheets, as his long cock keep sliding in and out from behind her. The slick sound of sex in their ears, muffled by moans and heavy breathing is driving her insane.

Another fact that she— well almost— forgot, Vane was a good fuck.

Elisabth arched against him, whining in pleasure. Her treacherous body reacted instantly to the familiar feeling of knot threatening to burst from her abdomen, as a result she clenched tightly on his shaft which made him moaned in response. It has been ages since they have sex, which they normally do in a daily basis. When unfortunately, she had to drew some line in fear that she might break her pelvic bones with how deep he keeps plunging in.

"C-Can you finish? I'm getting sore," she grumbled with a pant when she reached her climax for the third time. He groaned, griping both sides of her waist tighter as he launched his last thrust. She almost fainted. Fuck! It just kept reaching places it shouldn't have been.

It made her almost thank the heavens when she felt his member throbbed, spurting hot liquid inside her. Both sighed in satisfaction. She didn't have to worry getting pregnant when Vane, himself insisted on getting vasectomy. The idea of having a child repulsed him; Vane didn't want anything else that could take away her attention from him.

Vane rolled on her side, scooping her closer while wiping her sweaty forehead. "Are you still mad at me?" he asked, his juniper hues boring in her face intently. He didn't even seem to mind his disheveled long hair.

She suddenly felt conscious. It has been a while since she was able to stare at him this close.

She never cared about that woman kissing Vane, but she wanted to try something. "I still can't believe you let her do that."

His chest grumbled when he lightly chuckled. "Are you still jealous?"

"No," she replied, about to turn on her side but his arms tightened around her.

"Do you want me to take of it?" This time, she froze upon hearing it.

"Why would you do that?!" she hissed.

"Because it's her fault we're fighting."

"Don't fuck! You're just tired! I'm going out, I'm hungry." She forcefully pulled herself up from his grip, and rose from the bed.

"I'll accompany you" Vane's attempt to accompany Elisabth was met with a sharp glare.

"No," she said firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument. "I need some time alone. I've been compromising into whatever floats you boat for the whole day. Wouldn't be fair if I actually get what I want now?" Elisabth's sarcasm cut through the tension like a knife. Vane's expression shifted into a grim one.

He clenched his jaw. "You want some space? Fine! Then you're on your own now."

Surprised, yet relieved. "Thank you." She rolled her eyes. slipping into her clothes before heading out of the suite.

***

ELISABTH paced back and forth the hallway while biting her thumb. Paranoid that Vane will suddenly appear behind or in front her, albeit she knows that the man is sleeping soundly in their suite. "I'm telling you, Eli, there's a way we can use this Talliah situation to our advantage." She heard Missy spoke again through her phone.

"But, Jesus! How are we supposed to do that without putting that poor woman into the pedestal?" she responded.

"Oh, wow, Elisabth, the most impulse driven person I have ever known, finally thinking the well-being of others. Is that the character development I see?" Missy chuckled in sarcasm.

She exhaled sharply. "Don't start with me, Missy. We can do this without another's life getting ruined. Not when he just threatened her life an hour ago!"

"Wait what? Really? How?!"

"He asked me if it really bothers me and he'll 'take' care of it. You know what it already means when he says those words." Elisabth massaged her forehead in distress, reminiscing the past events when the exact same words was said.

Missy's response was a sharp exhale filled with disbelief. "Fuck, not again. He's insane!"

Her mind raced with conflicting thoughts as she conversed with Missy about the precarious situation involving Talliah and Vane. The idea of using Talliah's actions to their advantage tugged at Elisabth's sense of morality, yet she couldn't deny the temptation to turn the tables on Vane. But how could she do it? She'll have to find an another way.

Elisabth paced the hallway, her steps quick and agitated. "I can't let him get away with this," she muttered, more to herself than to Missy. "We have to find a way to use this to our advantage without causing harm to anyone else," she added.

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line, both women lost in their own thoughts. Finally, Missy spoke, her voice resolute. "Why don't you just go along with it?"

"What?"

"Look, the public is currently in your side, okay? So what if you throw Talliah under the bus? Talliah means nothing to you, and whatever consequences she faces would seem like the result of her own actions. She's the one who initiated this mess by kissing Vane in front of you. It would be seen as her own doing, not yours."

Elisabth deadpanned. "Okay, Missy... You're not fucking helping."

"It will be not ethical. But we have to be smart about it, Elisabth. Vane is dangerous when he feels threatened. It's impossible to not put somebody at risk. Even you are no exception to this!"

"No." She firmly shook her head, the weight of the situation settling heavily on her shoulders. "I'll find another way," she vowed. "I won't stoop to Vane's level. I'll try finding an another way. But that would be my last resort."

"Be careful, Elisabth," Missy warned., hearing her sighed at the end. "We're playing with fire here."

"I know," Elisabth replied, her tone steely. "But I won't let him win."

"You know I'm always on your back, right? Call me whenever you need something."

Elisabth felt a surge of gratitude toward Missy. "Thank you," she said sincerely. "I appreciate everything you're doing for me, even though you act like a bitch to me sometimes."

"Always," Missy replied with a chuckle. "We'll figure this out together. Just stay safe and keep me updated."

"I will," Elisabth promised before ending the call. Taking a deep breath, she steeled herself for the challenges ahead. She knew that dealing with Vane wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to protect herself, her career, and those she cared about.

As she walked back to the suite, her mind buzzed with strategies and plans. She needed to break free from the chains that bound her to Vane and the toxic cycle of their relationship. She loved him, but she have to let him go, when this relationship is ruining her life and possibly, the lives of other people too.

Growing up with a controlling mom wasn't easy, there are times she prayed that she won't wake up next morning so that she can stop dealing with it. She crawled her way here, and is still the process of proving her mom wrong. She's not going to spend the rest of her life bound to Vane, especially knowing what was hidden under that pretty face.

She had always fought against being controlled, first by her mother and now by Vane.

Elisabth also needed to reach out to her contacts in the industry. She needed allies who could support her and also to leverage her connections.

When she reached the elevator, her heart skipped a beat as the elevator doors slid open, revealing the woman she had been discussing about just moments ago. Talliah stood there, her expression unreadable as their eyes met in the confined space of the elevator. The latter took a step outside.

Talliah took her moment to stare at her deep in the eyes, Elisabth didn't retract her gaze. She remained her head high. She's not gonna allow anyone to underestimate her, especially this woman.

Talliah's lips curved upward on one side, a subtle smirk playing on her features as Elisabth unintentionally raised an eyebrow. There was a glint of warning in her eyes as she spoke.

"If I were you, I'd leave," Talliah remarked, her voice carrying a hint of seriousness. "You have no idea what you're dealing with."

"I could say the same for you," Elisabth retorted, stepping inside the elevator. "Start sleeping with one eye open."
