"Today is the fucking day," I said as I cleaned my katana with a handkerchief.
Today is the day of Beacon's entrance exam.
And oh boy i was very excited about that, new challenges, new opponents and interesting things to do!
Not only that, but I will also get to see several characters from the series, and if I'm lucky, a fight too.
Besides, this will tell me if I successfully prevented Beacon's fall. I always knew that Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury were the most responsible for the invasion.
If I managed to prevent it, then technically, I saved the lives of several young people and others by killing the bitch of Cinder and Emerald.
"I need to see the result of my actions with my own eyes," I said, finishing cleaning my katana, which was so clean thst I could see my reflection in it.
...
Speaking of this sword, I want to tell you something interesting it has related to the Moon-Slice semblance.
But first, I'll tell you what the semblance does, since in the series, as far as I know, they never said what it does, only that it launches red slashes or wird energy attacks.
While that is true, it's not all it can do.
Moon-Slice allows the bearer to launch a very powerful slash of red energy from any sharp object they hold.
Whether it's a knife, sword, sharp piece of wood, sharp rock, or even their own nail.
Any of the mentioned things can be used to launch a slash that shreds the poor opponent.
But the larger the sharp object is, the larger the slash.
Additionally, if the user has taken damage, this can be used to enhance the slash, creating a powerful attack that turns everything it touches to dust.
Basically, the fuel for this semblance is the damage the bearer has received.
Moon-Slice and Burn have the same function.
They feed off and become more powerful the more damage the user has taken.
But I don't necessarily need to take damage to use one or the other; the damage just enhances them.
This makes Yang and Adam very similar despite being enemies... well, only their semblances.
Getting back to the point.
Adam's katana is made of a very rare red material that I don't know what it is.
It's not only resistant and durable but also increases the power of the slashes made by Moon-Slice.
I don't know how, but I've done several tests with knives, sharpened sticks, swords, and fire lances/swords that I created with my pyrokinesis.
With a knife, I managed to cut down a tree; with a sharpened stick, I almost cut down the tree; with a fire sword, I cut down two trees, the same with the fire lance.
But with Adam's katana, I managed to cut down five damn trees. I don't want to imagine how powerful a slash would be after taking a lot of damage.
Which also leads me to a conclusion: the stronger the object/material I use to launch the cut, the more powerful the Moon-Slice slash will be.
Therefore, this sword must be made of a very strong and durable material.
"You and I will be great friends," I said, giving the katana a little kiss and then storing it in my black sheath.
After that, I sat in silence for several seconds, not knowing what to do.
By the way, I urgently need a scroll.
I'm a young teenager who in his past life, went everywhere with his phone, watching TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
I get bored easily here in this house, and besides, I don't even have a video game console to entertain myself; I just spend my time training with my semblances, my boxing style, my control with my monkey tail, and that's it.
I have a PC, but it's so old that it only lets me use the browser, and then it freezes when I try to open any game.
Besides, the TV only broadcasts news about the White Fang and how horrible it is.
Occasionally, it broadcasts some 'novelas' from Vale and Atlas. Personally, I prefer the ones from Mantle; they are very similar to Mexican ones haha...
...
I need social media.
I never thought I'd say this but...
"God... I miss Twitter," I said with a sad sigh, then got up from the chair and started walking toward the door.
It's already 8:00 AM; I have to go to the bullhead that will take me to Beacon to take the entrance exam.
Which starts at 9:00 AM, so I should start heading out now because the bullhead leaves here at 8:30 AM.
I opened the door and with my monkey tail, locked it.
"Hehe, it's more useful and fun than I imagined," I said starting to walk, swinging my tail with joy.

(Point of view: Nobody)
Location: (EVERNIGHT CASTLE.)
Region: (LAND OF THE GRIMMS.)
...
Arthur knocked on the door, with Tyrian bouncing excitedly at the prospect of seeing their queen/goddess.
While Tyrian wore a broad grin, Arthur was quite the opposite.
Despite his confident smile, a few drops of sweat on his forehead betrayed and show his nerves.
This was natural, considering he was about to speak with...
("Salem... I wouldn't normally be this nervous, but the news I have to deliver aren't very nice") he thought as he looked at the door 'calmly'.
...
"Tyrian and Arthur Watts, I can sense both of you from afar. Enter quickly and say what you have to say."
Tyrian and Arthur exchanged a glance and pushed the door open with some effort.
Once inside, the heavy black door closed behind them with a resounding echo. The room was dark, illuminated only by the dim light of scattered candles in the vast space.
In the center, surrounded by an aura of power and mystery, was Salem, working on an ancient artifact on a stone table, a wine glass in her other hand.
Arthur bowed respectfully while Tyrian, with a dramatic and exaggerated motion, knelt before her.
Arthur: "Apologies for the intrusion, my queen." He said courteously, showing the respect he had for her.
Tyrian: "Oh, my glorious queen!" He said, bowing his head so low it almost touched the floor.
Tyrian: "It is an honor and a privilege to be in your presence." He said, looking up at her.
Salem, who had been listening, raised her gaze, revealing her red eyes that shine in the dim room, and with a cold and authoritative voice, said:"I hope you have a good reason for coming here."
Arthur took a deep breath, maintaining his usual composure. He knew this conversation would be delicate.
He stepped forward and began to speak."My queen," he began, "I come with important news about Cinder's mission. Unfortunately, things didn't go as we expected."
Salem frowned, her expression darkening. "Continue." she ordered, her tone clearly impatient.
Arthur kept his gaze fixed on Salem. "Mercury informed me that the mission to kill the Maiden and obtain her powers failed. An unexpected guardian appeared, one we hadn't accounted for, and allowed the Maiden to escape."
Salem's eyes narrowed, and her voice became a dangerous whisper.
"Hmm, I see. Where are they now? I need to speak with Cinder about her failure."
...
"Emerald and Cinder are dead, my queen," Arthur responded without hesitation.
"Cinder underestimated the situation and paid the price for her recklessness. The new guardian managed to kill both Cinder and Emerald."There was a long silence in the room, only interrupted by the faint crackling of the candles.
Finally, Salem spoke, her voice icy and controlled. "Hmm... Cinder and her dog are dead. What a great... disappointment," she said, breaking the wine glass in her hand in anger, causing the entire castle to tremble.
Arthur and Tyrian clung to the floor with difficulty to avoid falling.
Arthur: ("She made the whole damn castle shake just by getting angry?! What immense power!") he thought as he struggled to stay upright.
This continued for a few seconds until it stopped.
Salem sighed in anger and spoke."Cinder was always a useful tool, but her ambition made her vulnerable. And Emerald... well, just another pawn in our game, although her semblance was useful."
"By the way, you haven't told me about Mercury. Did he also die at the hands of this new 'guardian'?" asked Salem, looking intently at Arthur.
Arthur shook his head and said, "No, Mercury survived, he was the one who informed me of the situation."
"However, he has left the group, aware that if he returned he would likely die at the hands of Tyrian or you."Arthur remembered Mercury's last words before he hung up the call.
Arthur: "Alright, I'll send a bullhead to your location to pick you up."
Mercury: "HAHA, oh don't worry, I'm never coming back there, I QUIT. Tell me, what do you think will happen to me if I tell Salem this news? She would tear me apart alive, without cinder i am just an useless toy for her. If this son of a bitch didn't kill me, Salem will, I'm sure of it" he said, coughing up some blood.
Arthur just sigh and with a tired voice said:
Arthur: "You know if you quit, Salem will send someone for your head, right? And most probably will be us the one who have to chase after you."
Mercury: "Pff, obviously, but I have better chances of living that go right to my death. See you old man. Tell Salem and that crazy bastard of Tyrian to suck my dick." He said and hung up.
...
"HE DID WHAT?! THAT COWARD FLEW?! HOW DARE HE DISRESPECT OUR QUEEN THAT WAY! HE WILL PAY FOR HIS TREACHERY!" Tyrian shouted furiously, who was remaing silent throughout the conversation.
Salem's already dark expression grew darker and angrier.
"I see." she said coldly with her eyes closed....Seeing Salem's thoughtful state, Arthur decided it was his chance to make his move.
("They're both angry and thoughtful, it's now or never") he thought.
Arthur cleared his throat, causing the two to look at him.
"This failure, though unfortunate, gives us the opportunity to rethink our strategy, my lady. I am confident that under my direction, we can plan a much more effective attack and secure the Maiden's powers without setbacks."
He said, stepping forward.
Salem just looked at him intently, evaluating every word he said.
Finally, she nodded slowly. "Perhaps it's time to change tactics." she said, making Arthur excited.
"Alright, you will be the 'leader' of the operations from now on, BUT under certain conditions." she said, looking intently at Arthur, who nodded quickly.
"Tyrian will supervise all your movements and report them to me. He will also be your assistant."
"Additionally, I want you to place a bounty on the black market for the head of this new guardian. We must keep them occupied while we rethink our plans."
("... well, it could be worse") Arthur thought.
"I also want you to kill Mercury. His betrayal to us will not go unpunished. I want his head," she said coldly, looking at Arthur.
That made tyrian to smile wildly "my queen! Let me be the one who bring his head to you! I will make him pay and deliver him a slowly and painful death by my own hands!"
Salem look at him and return her gaze with desinterest to arthur.
"That will be decided by arthur, tyrian" she spoke making tyrian to nod defeated, he won't talk back to her godness, so he just limited himself to look angrily at arthur.
"And lastly, this is the most important, so listen carefully as I will not repeat myself."
"Find a girl or adult woman who is easy to manipulate or who craves power just like Cinder did. I need someone to absorb the Maiden's powers and bring them to me." said Salem with her final condition.
Arthur: "Understood, my lady. I swear that all your conditions will be met to the letter," he said, bowing.
"Remember, Watts, your life also hangs by a very thin thread. I will not tolerate more failures," said Salem, looking into his eyes.
Arthur bowed his head in acknowledgment. "There will be no more failures, my queen. I can assure you."
With that said, Salem turned her attention back to the artifact on the table.
With the approval of the Queen of the Grimms, Arthur stepped back, knowing that he now had the responsibility of planning the next move. As he left the room, a sense of determination washed over him.
This time, there would be no failures
