Chapter 9 - The good times

Desna and Eska, the mischievous twins, were more restless than ever. Eska, in particular, had a clear mission in mind: to ensure that Gale won as many toys as possible. She had developed a foolproof plan to torment Gale's life, convincing him to participate in all the games and challenges at the amusement park.

Gale, on the other hand, was on the brink of madness with the twin siblings, especially Eska. He couldn't grasp the extent of madness and malice emanating from Unalaq's daughter. Eska, with her truly insane and malevolent nature, made Gale question the sanity of the amusement park they were in.

"Gale, so you're here," said Kael upon spotting his son in the company of Unalaq's children. "We need to have a talk about something."

Witnessing the arrival of his father, Gale experienced hope for the first time and ran towards him, followed by the siblings.

"Desna and Eska, your father sent me to tell you he's looking for you. He's near the palace," Kael stated with a friendly expression, making an effort not to offend Unalaq's children.

"Thank you, Uncle Kael. Goodbye, little dog Gale," the twins pronounced simultaneously, conveying a sense of terror with their words, leaving Gale horrified.

"What would you like to talk to me about, Dad?" Gale asked as he walked alongside his father through the festival streets.

"I spoke with Unalaq about you. He will be your spiritual guide, of course, shortly after my death. Don't think you'll get away from me so soon," said Kael, giving affectionate pats to his son's head.

Gale welcomed the gesture of affection from his father, something he had never experienced before; his cheeks turned red. However, a sad expression took over his face as he remembered his father's imminent death.

"Don't be like that, boy. I'm still alive," Kael said with a reassuring smile.

Father and son soon joined the rest of the family amidst a cheerful atmosphere, unaware that this would be one of the last festivals they would enjoy together.
