Chapter 1 - The Crash

Zeth Bronze was sitting in the window seat of a flight from Tokyo to New York.

He mumbled to himself.

"I don't want to live anymore."

As soon as the words left his mouth, the right engine of the plane exploded.

He looked outside the window and laughed like a maniac.

"HAHAHA … NOW YOU LISTEN??"

People inside the plane were screaming, praying, and crying, from children to the elderly. Everyone was scared for their lives, while Zeth didn't move an inch after that.

Still looking outside the window, avoiding all the people inside, Zeth said to himself

"I hope I can just die now."

He closed his eyes after saying that.

The plane crashed in the sea in two parts. It looked like nobody survived, while Zeth opened his eyes. On the rear side of the crashed plane, he was badly injured; his face was covered with blood dripping down from his head; a metal rod was stuck inside his stomach; and his left arm was also broken, but still he was alive.

Even after opening his eyes, he didn't move. He kept lying down for a few minutes, hoping he would die any minute now, but that was just his wishful thinking; he knew that he couldn't die that easily.

Born with inhuman strength and stamina, his healing ability was also monstrous. He always thought of it as a gift, but that changed some time ago, and he started thinking of it as a curse.

Even though his healing ability was strong, that didn't mean that it did not hurt; it was as painful as it could be. That was also the reason why Zeth wasn't trying to move.

After realizing that he is not dying and there's nobody coming to help him, he thought to himself

'If there is a God, He is cruel'

With all the power left in his right arm, he gripped the rod in his stomach and pulled it out while screaming his heart out. After that, he got up and fixed his dislocated left arm.

The plane was sinking slowly. He looked around; there were many dead bodies around him. He saw some gruesome scenes, but he kept looking in hope of finding survivors.

In a corner, he saw a beautiful woman with white hair. Even though the plane crash was really bad, she was not as injured as someone who didn't believe in miracles. Zeth was quite confused.

He went closer and checked her pulse; surprisingly, she was not in a bad condition.

Zeth tried to wake her up, but then he saw a big injury on the back of her head. He applied first aid and stopped the bleeding as well as he could.

After that, he looked outside, and surprisingly, he could see an island in the distance.

'Was there supposed to be an island at this place? What's going on? Where am I?'

He went back to where the woman was and started thinking.

'Swimming to that island won't be much of a problem, but I'll have to wait for a while to be completely healed. I'll wait for her to wake up then'

The plan was slowly sinking, but it wasn't bothering him much. He sat in front of the woman to rest.

Zeth looked at her face, which was half covered in blood. He used a napkin to clean her face. As soon as the napkin touched her face, the woman woke up and gripped his hand really tightly.

Zeth, who was known as a monster himself, was surprised by her strength. The woman looked confused. She looked around in distress and asked

"WHAT HAPPENED?"

Zeth tried to explain, but she got up and started looking around. She looked scared, so she shouted.

"WHERE'S SHE? WHERE'S ALY?"

Zeth could understand the gist of it. Now that he tried to calm her down, she was looking around for dead bodies. Zeth asked

"Did you find her?"

"No, she is not here. She is 19 years old, she was wearing a black dress, she is short, and she was also wearing glasses. Please tell me, did you see someone like that?"

After thinking for a second, Zeth replied

"No, I haven't seen her here."

"It's fine I am sure she is alive. Yeh, she must be."

Zeth did not want to break her heart, but living in delusion is worse for her, so he said

"The chance of her surviving is low, so be prepared for anything."

"No, I know that she is alive; I can feel it."

"Well, I hope you are right. For now, let's swim to that island; we can't stay here long."

"About that... I can't swim."

"What?"

"Well, I never had much of a chance, so..."

"I see, we'll wait for a while then."

After saying that, Zeth sat on the side again, waiting for his injuries to heal a little more as he had to take her with him now too.

The woman who now looked at Zeth carefully realized the condition he was in, and something else also came to mind, she said.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead"

"Have we met before?"

Without any hesitation, Zeth replied.

"No"

"How are you alive with those injuries?"

"I don't know how you are alive without any injuries."

"I guess we both have our secrets," she said, sitting next to him.

Zeth had his eyes closed the whole time because he was trying to focus on healing his injuries.

"I guess we do."

"What about your name?"

"You can call me Zeth."

"That's a unique name."

"It sure is, and you?"

"It's Sarina... Sarina Gonzalez."

After a few minutes, Zeth opened his eyes and stood up.

"Ok, then let's go to that island, Sarina."

"Yeh, let's go."
