Although he needed to train his Path of Control, too, so the seal of his power only existed when he was trying to fight; inside his body, while he was not fighting, it was overflowing.
This time, he was trying to train his body to control its power internally for progressive strengthening. He allowed his body to become accustomed to a constant, internal movement of his own power so that it could strengthen his body passively and progressively. If he could complete that one, he could move smoothly up to the second level within the Path of Control, which he hoped would give him ample power in general.
But completing it was too difficult. Although the inner power is his, and he should be able to control it as he wants, and indeed, he can, it is not the same when it is a passive movement without him controlling it.
