Charlotte Adams, though respected in the human race; admired and feared by those at the top of the pyramid, those who lead that pyramid have their eyes on her.
Some have diverse intentions, but most only want her head.
She has done nothing to them. Perhaps it is simply a millennial grudge that even they cannot understand, perhaps it is a lifetime inheritance. Or maybe it's just something deeper but simple: the grudge.
Charlotte knows this, and she also knows that being in this place is very dangerous for her. Even though she has been here for a long time, she still doesn't understand how far these guys can go in their plans against her. She still doesn't manage to go deep into the mountains, let alone understand how much the Hill Clan influences this side of the world.
But she is sure it does, and the Religion of Prosperity is a clear example of that.
That's why she knows her stay here is a danger.
