On the first day, Matthew left 3 groups of corpses from different clans scattered in key places in the city. One of them looked like a battle between two clans had left everyone dead, and one guy seemed to have escaped.
In the other two groups, it looked as if rival clans had killed them.
This was done with the intention of fanning flames between the clans, and he succeeded.
