Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

''Before we arrive there you must be aware of something that your previous Master did.'' Helios huffed with disgust, waving his hand around ''It's cruel form of magic on your body. I'm still not sure how I can free you from it but sooner or later the Slave Seal on you will disappear.''

''Seal?'' Snow said quietly, wide eyes blinking confused at Helios. He was never aware of any seal on his body nor of a time when said seal was put on him.

''Your previous Master, draw a Slave Seal on your tongue. It may sound impossible for a dirty individual like him to own such skill as Seal Drawing but money and power can get anything in this world. Do not worry though, they can be broken quite easily.'' a smirk spread on Helios lips making Snow twitch

It was a familiar but not at the same time. A strange comparation of his previous Master smirk and the same expression on Helios smoother face.

''The only thing you must made sure is that no one, absolutely no one get's in contact with that Seal. I am not sure what the effects would be. Not the exact ones anyway. But most of the things you believed and did till now, some of your action and thoughts....Snow, they were just controlled by that bastard you were made to call Master.'' the blond words took a gentle tone with him but the unfamiliarity of it made Snow shiver

It was an incompressible fact for him to understand. For Snow who wake up day after day, spend night after night for his Master wishes to come true. For the crowds he pulled around him and for the barely there praise he wished he got after every little thing he did.

How could his Master be wrong?

He was the one who didn't do anything right. He was the one who couldn't finish his performances because of his weak body. Body falling on the ground like strings were cut off his wrists and ankles, aches through day and night.

That pressing feeling that made him sick at every movement.

does he know that I faint after dancing too much? Did Master tell him of my wrong doings? Snow thought, his mind racing. Helios was kind yes and in some way he was remembering him of the girls and Grandma who washed his body and watched his wounds.

But kind people can turn into monsters, can turn in men with bloody eyes and disgusting grins. Grabby hands and spiteful words, objects throw at him and loud noises.

''...-anything I needed to know?'' Helios asked looking outside the window for a brief moment

''Nothing.'' Snow said with the faint sound of a whip crashing on his skin in his mind. It felt like an echo in his mind, like a muted pain that healed over and over again.

''Then this is where we should part ways.'' dark green eyes looked at him with the faintest expression visible before opening the carriage curtains letting Snow see the outside. Helios opened the door and immediately approached an older looking man that was waiting with an umbrella at his side.

With a tight hold of the carriage door Snow stepped outside, marveling at the feeling of damp ground under him. He wiggled his toes, looking around him. They were in front of multiple tall trees, all healthy and lush with green leaves who were obviously separating them from something else.

He doesn't remember a time when he was out. Outside his cell, the platform he danced or even his previous Master house. Briefly, he mourned when the sky was cloudy with no sun in sight.

Despite the overwhelming feeling he had, the nature around him, Snow feel nothing but warmness, a type of strange feeling thrumming in his chest.

''-and this is Snow. The man I told you in our letters.'' startled at the mention of his name, Snow looked at the two men before bowing deeply, knees trembling under him, towards the new man.

A tall, slender looking older man with a full head of gray hair and clear face, deep wrinkles at his eyes.

''My Goddess child, there's no need to bow to me.'' the man took a tight grip on his elbows, straightening him up ''Stay straight from now on, you have little to no meat on those bones.'' the man muttered the last words, looking at him from all directions

Strangely enough the words were said in such tone that Snow felt himself relax under his gaze.

He must had stared too long at the man though, because shortly after that the man chuckled with saddened eyes.

''Not that talkative are you.'' the same gentle tone from before, this time used by Paul made Snow freeze

''Snow comes from a complicate background like I told you Paul. He can talk but he doesn't look like he is familiar with this action.'' Helios winced visibly when Paul looked back at him and even though Snow couldn't see it as well, he made sure to cower his shoulders just enough to make himself smaller.

''I'm sure that this child can speak for himself Young Master Helios. He can also hear you.'' Paul reprimed him like talking with a small child

In response Helios pursed his lips and to Snow shock, bowed his head.

what's this situation?  Snow thought not even hearing the other two men conversation. If what Helios said was true then this man is the only other person living with his Master. The only other person accepted in Amartya Manor.

But he is also the sole servant in the Manor.

Snow has never saw a person, a human, bowing to servants no matter the smallness of the gesture. It just wasn't done. By no one.

So why after leaving his cell, the things he once know weren't making sense anymore? Why were the things he know contradicting with each other. Helios did tell him that he will change, that his actions and thoughts weren't his own for a long time but were they really?
