Chapter 8 - Now we're writing!

As the two wakes up in the morning, feeling stressed up about the fact that they just cannot go back to sleep, they decided to message each other to meet up on somewhere.

"Where do you wanna meet up, Chiaki-san?" Ren asks while texting, waiting for Fuyumi's response.

"Let's go to the Gran Cyber Cafe near the Shibuya Crossing. It should be around a 1-hour walk." Fuyumi responds.

While Ren getting ready, he doesn't know what to wear, since it was his first time meeting up with a friend in a non-school day.

Ren wears a casual red t-shirt with a random quote on it which says "Dream More", ripped jeans, and a cap to hide his face.

He looks at the mirror to see himself, he was disappointed on what he wore.

I look horrible. What clothes should I usually wear on a day like this?

Should I wear casual clothes? Or formal clothes? I should ask my mom, because look at myself, I look like I'm a creep in this attire.

He was dressed up clumsily. He didn't know how to tie a necktie, and politely requested his mom to dress him up.

"Mom, can you help me with my attire?"

Ren's mom, Yuuri, was surprised by hearing this one sentence. Because, Ren has not gone outside in school weekends, and the only time he usually goes out, it by buying groceries. Or taking a snack in the local convenience store.

Yuuri, Ren's mom, dressed Ren with casual attire, with a light-gray hoodie, black trousers, and crocs.

"I'm out!" Says Ren with a nervous smile on his face, his body begins to tense up and his hands start sweating as if he was jogging.

Why did I reach out to her?!!

This thought fills the mind of Ren while walking to the location, as he instinctively messaged her about this dream they had to discuss it on somewhere, he wished he didn't do that since he is scared out of his wits.

Why did she pick Shibuya Crossing out of all places to meet..!

Ren finally reaches the destination, Shibuya Crossing. He needed to use his ultra instinct to dodge people from accidentally bumping onto him, since he didn't want any unnecessary trouble.

Ren notices someone familiar.

It was Kousuke Ryu.

"Yo! Hasegawa-kun! What a coincidence to meet you here!"

"Oh, hello, Kousuke-kun. Where are you planning to go?"

As Ren was asking this, Kousuke responds that he was going to the Gran Cyber Cafe as well.

They both navigate and trying to find their location. Once they both finally found their destination, which was a few meters ahead, he sees a silver haired girl wearing a blue hoodie, resembling Fuyumi. Was it Fuyumi? Or was it someone else?

As he sees the location, he sees a girl with silver hair, wearing a blue hoodie as well, and calls her out.

But why is she shorter than before?

As Ren bumped his way nearer to the blue-hoodied girl, he calls her out, shouting Fuyumi's surname.

"Hey, Chiaki-san!"

"Oh? You know who he is, Hasegawa?"

"I'm not sure.."

It must take a lot of balls to call that blue hoodied girl. Hasegawa.. You officially have balls of steel.

This shocked the girl. She wonders who this person is, and how he knows her. Turns out, it wasn't Fuyumi, but, her sister.

Flip! Wrong person!

"Hey, how do you know me? I go to an all-girls school you know?"

"Uhh.."

"Oh, don't worry, we aren't kidnappers, we were just heading to this cafe!" Kousuke said to the girl.

As Ren was struggling to respond, Fuyumi, wearing a white hoodie, and a short that sizes halfway through her thighs, spots the two talking to each other, and grabs both of Ren and the blue hoodied girl's shoulders.

"I'm late aren't I?"

!!!

15 minutes later...

"So... You both are siblings?"

"Yes." Says Fuyumi and the blue-hoodied girl at the same time.

"My name is Kyoko Chiaki. I'm 13 and I'm Fuyumi-san's younger sister. I go to an all-girls school."

"My name is Ren Hasegawa. I'm 15 and I go to the same school as Chiaki-san. We all are just friends, regular friends."

"And my name is Kousuke Ryu, I'm 15 and buddies with Ren."

As they all introduced each other, Fuyumi calls one of the employees and asks for an order.

Fuyumi orders an espresso, Ren orders an Iced Americano, and Kousuke orders an Iced Macchiato.

"So, did you dream last night?" Fuyumi strikes the conversation first.

Kyoko was surprised when her sister said this, after all, she thought of it as a random topic.

"Yes. I saw you in my dream, and the same novel you posted." Ren responds seriously.

"Same here." Fuyumi responds to what Ren said.

"Now now, we should be comfortable when we are talking to each other, right? I mean, we are friends after all."

As Fuyumi says this, their cheeks become slightly red, and Kyoko caughts on to this, which she asked a question.

"Are you sure you guys are really not more than friends?"

"NO WE'RE NOT!! WE'RE JUST FRIENDS!"

The both say this, with red cheeks, and proceeds with their conversation like it was nothing.

After a while, they both got the orders they got, while Kyoko having bubble tea, since she wasn't allowed to drink coffee.

Fuyumi and Red hold a conversation that lasted for a while, emphasizing specific events that happened in their dream, and writing it down on the journals they brang with them.

Kyoko sees the focus on them two, and sees them both eerily similar to each other's personalities.

1 hour later, lunch time - 12:00pm

Whew. We're both done. In my case, I wrote a total of 1000+ words in this current chapter for my novel, for Chiaki-san, she got more than 1100.

Man, she's better than me in every aspect.

After staying in the cafe for a while, they finally go outside, to the Shibuya Crossing, and said their farewells to each other, they both got the urge to post on what they just wrote online.

Ren walking for another solid 1 hour, hungry, his stomach was growling. Yuuri, Ren's mom, saved the day and cooked omurice for lunch.

"Thanks, mom!"

"I'll eat!"

After eating, Ren hops on his laptop, opens a site linking to his novel, and got his draft he worked in the cafe, and typed it.

As Ren was typing, transferring the draft into its final result, by fixing grammatical errors, spelling, plot-holes and more, he posts it.

After posting the latest chapter of [ Naomi-san won't leave me alone ], it suddenly exploded in popularity.

What the.. Just when I posted the chapter.. It already got tons of views.. And positive comments and reviews!

This is insane! So much recognition from just one chapter!

I'm officialy one step closer to be a novelist like Asahi-kun.
