Day 4: "Rhys, I'm leaving," Sylvia called out, waving goodbye as she made her way from the house.
I pursed my lips, standing at the door, my gaze locked on her disappearing back. My green eyes felt cold and distant, and my hands were clenched into tight fists. I hated feeling this way — the aching emptiness of being apart from her.
The more time I spent with Sylvia, the deeper my desire to be near her grew. It was as though the very air around me transformed when she was close, and I craved her presence like oxygen. If it weren't for Meridia, who stood beside me, I would have sprinted after Sylvia, desperate to keep her by my side.
Suddenly, I felt a warm hand glide through my hair, pulling me from my thoughts. "Don't worry, she'll come back. In fact, if you want, you could go with her…" Meridia said with a reassuring tone.
Surprised, I turned my head to meet her gaze, pointing to myself in disbelief. "Can I?"
