I stared at Prince Cassius curiously. Even the queen looked worried about this situation, so why wasn't he worried? Why did he look so carefree? I couldn't contain my curiosity, so I inquired, "Prince Cassius, are you really not worried? Do you believe in superstitions?"
He looked at me with a gentle smile on my face, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Yes, I used to believe in all these things, but I don't anymore," he replied, his voice soft and reassuring. "Do you know why?"
I shook my head.
"Because of you," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. He raised his hand to caress my cheek. "I trust you, Amelia. I know that we are destined for each other, and we love each other. It was fate that brought us together, so how can a mere superstition break us apart?"
"Moreover, I trust my elder brother. He would never do such a thing. That is why I am not worried about anything."
