Julian was discharged the following day as the doctors had promised. He was accompanied by Alya and Ishmael to his residence because Adrien and Azrael unfortunately had to go and receive their parents.
Of course, Julian as the workaholic he is, immediately asked Alya to give him updates about his business the moment he was sat in his living room. She knew better than to try to distract the man when he was in COO/CEO mode. She definitely knew how much his businesses meant to Julian seeing as he is entirely self made.
Alya told him about the business meetings she had to postpone and reschedule for the next month which was February,and how she had handled all the internal workload. She had even canceled appointments with companies she deemed unfit for the Rez company's growth and standards.
Julian felt a different kind of warmth seeping into his heart,he couldn't mask the smile that spread out on his face. He felt lighter like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders because despite the fact that they had taken a winter break,he was still two weeks behind and didn't want to disappoint anyone from shareholders to partners and customers.
Julian felt so proud of Alya and extremely blessed for having her working under him. She was undoubtedly the best person he had ever met.
"In my next life,I wanna be born by you. I want you to be my biological mom,so bad!" Julian spoke with a calm tone embedded in love and admiration for how wonderful Alya is.
" I'll be honored,dear." Alya replied, reciprocating Julian's expression. Little did she know that Julian actually meant his words. He genuinely admired Alya's ability to love someone like him like her own. Even the recent events when Julian was hospitalized,she had managed to balance work for him and be present in the hospital for him. Meanwhile,his biological mother was nowhere in sight. The only time people saw her anywhere near the hospital was when news of Julian's hospitalization reached her.
Nobody,had seen her set foot in that hospital after that day. When Julian had gotten clearance to use gadgets,he checked his mobile phone to see if he had received any messages and we'll,there were several of them including Zius' but not that woman's.
"Thank you for taking care of business and me. Now I'll get to reviewing a few files and contracts,you should get some rest. Don't worry I'll give you a vacation whenever you want it,just so you can rest and relax." Julian said while looking around for his laptop.
" Okay,I'll get going. If you need anything Julian,feel free to call me,and I'll be taking that vacation sooner than you expect so I'll hold you to your word." Alya called back as she turned on her heels,she looked back at the smiling Julian and gave him one final wink before walking out the door.
Ishmael had stayed back in the car after dropping off Alya and Julian. He had been given orders to make sure they both got home safely so, he waited. When Alya walked out of the exit, he put the car in ignition and started driving when Alya had settled in and given him her home address.
Julian spent the rest of his day catching up on work,noting a few things down that he didn't notice how long he'd spent there. It was only when his stomach grumbled when he realized that it was so late and he hadn't eaten a thing since lunch. His lights were already on since they're backed by AI,so he really missed when it hard gotten dark outside.
Upon checking on his phone,it was already almost 11 in the night. So he got up and walked to the kitchen to grab a cup of ramyeon noodles and make it before returning to his seat in the living room where he ate them from.
"Mhm! Now that's what I needed,that ramyeon hit all the right spots. Okay,now back to work." He commented after completing the spicy ramyeon and immediately placed the cup back on the table.
He also drank a cup of milk and took his medicine before texting 'Good night' to both Alya and Adrien. He needed to make those two think that he was at home resting while he was doing his work. After getting a reply from Alya, Julian put his phone in DND.
He dimmed the lights in his condo and dived back into the loads of work that had piled up over the last few weeks. He only looked away from his screen when he needed to rub his eyes or rest his achy fingers.
Time passed as Julian worked his ass off the whole night,it was a quarter to 4 am when his body gave out from the exhaustion and he could no longer walk up to his bedroom. So he instead endeavoured to put his laptop down on the floor before laying down in his sofa without even covering himself with the fleece blanket; because unlike before,the weather had slowly started to warm up a bit.
Julian slowly shut his eyes that had started feeling heavy and let sleep take him on its wings. He was unaware when his phone screen lit up from a text before a phonecall came through.

Adrien had meant to call Julian right after he had had their parents settled in after their arrival but he of course ended up losing track of time. He had been extremely happy and delirious the whole ride to the Eastern coast and back to Azrael's home because this time round,it wasn't just the parents but also Alekzaviá,their brother had joined the team.
The brothers had left Luciano back in Azrael's home to rest a bit because it would be a long night basing on how chatty their mother was. She would let the whole night waste away while she talked about anything,just like Azrael when he was in his feels.
That's the kind of woman she was.
Meanwhile,their father on the contrary,was less talkative and more reserved. He shared this trait with his sons Alekzandá and Alekzaviá.
Upon arrival at Azrael's home,they met with a sight so unexpected that they started wondering what had happened.
The whole driveway to the main entrance was decorated with warm coloured fairy lights,orange and green vines and colorful decorative flowers. The doors were ajar and you could clearly see what was inside the house from a distance because unlike the outside,it was so bright.
Alekzandá drove the car into the parking yard and everyone stepped out right after. As if on cue, Luciano, accompanied by a few servants walked out of the house and stood by the threshold with trays covered in satin in hand. The trays had small paper boxes filled with assorted white and dark chocolate candies,which were meant for each one of the visitors.
Azrael turned to his brother wondering if he had an idea on what's going on but only found Alekzandá mirroring his expression. He turned back to his parents with a smile when he had her talk.
"Ohh~ unlike the previous times I visited, something's definitely changed this time round. Look at all the beautiful preparations made to receive us, it's amazing." She commented as they gracefully walked towards the awaiting hosts.
" I bet it's none of my sons,they don't care about bothering to organize a simple welcome party for our visit." Giuseppe commented on the observation made by his wife.
This made the two brothers frown while Alekzaviá struggled to suppress the laughter that was on the verge of escaping. He didn't want to tease his brothers but also couldn't help the frowns on their faces.
"Wow,you haven't even crossed the threshold but already ganging up on us." Azrael mumbled.
"If you wanted a party whenever you're over, you should have told us. We thought that dinners together were enough." Alekzandá added.
" How uncreative of you both!" Both parents said simultaneously, sounding disappointed.
Alekzaviá lost it and started laughing,he laughed so hard that he stopped walking and held his tummy while laughing at his brothers.
The rest of the family left him to his devises and joined the welcoming party,that stood at the threshold.
"You're welcome." Luciano said.
He was actually shocked when he saw how breathtaking the rest of the family looked. They were all exceptionally beautiful and looked ethereal,he could now tell clearly where Azrael got his beauty from when he met his mother.
"Thank you for receiving us dear. You must be Luciano,right?" She asked and Luciano replied with a curt nod. "I'm Sienna,these boys mom and this right here is Giuseppe,my husband."
"Nice to meet you all." Luciano welcomed them again. He then gave each one of them a small box of chocolates he had made earlier. Luciano was a great chocolatier,so he made them with love because it included his identity unlike all the gifts he had thought about.
Sienna and Giuseppe were led into the house by Adrien, leaving the couple to greet each other. He knew just how much his brother never wanted to leave his mate even for a second and since they had left him behind earlier, he thought that Azrael must want to have his head buried in Luciano's wings.
Azrael pulled his pregnant mate into his chest by the waist. He smiled at the contact, and Luciano did the same. " I missed you so much my love. "
" I missed you too, papi" Luciano answered. He knew just how much the word papi affected Azrael,so he used it to rile him up.
"C'mon Love,don't play dirty with me right now. It's not fair." Azrael almost whined. So he decided to rile Luciano up by placing his lips on Luciano's lightly. He the backed away when he was sure that Luciano's now worked up from that kiss. Azrael's face was covered in a smirk as he enjoyed his revenge.
He had a look on his face that said 'look who's worked up now(;' and Luciano really regretted their current circumstances and consequences of his teasing.
The couple's bubble was popped when Alekzaviá cleared his throat next to them. Azrael felt irritated but Luciano on the other hand,felt heat spreading from his neck to face. His brother in law had seen them being flirty and unlike Adrien,he felt the need to make a good impression to this one.
"Hi,I'm Xavier or Alekzaviá and I'm this boy's brother. The infamous worldwide handsome.". Alekzaviá ignored his brother's entire presence as he introduced himself to Luciano who was left dumbfounded by the man's beauty and voice. He had only gotten a glance earlier when they had arrived but didn't notice just how beautifully this one stood out from the rest due to nervousness.
With mouth agape, Luciano's eyes scouted the guy's features. Alekzaviá stood at a towering height of 7'1" a little taller than Azrael but not taller than Adrien. He had medium length silverly locks and emerald green eyes like Azrael's and sienna's. His skin was tan like Giuseppe's and Adrien's. He really held a similarity to each of them. It was like he was the balance the family needed.
Luciano felt soft fingers on his chin and regained his composure. He smiled at the blue haired brother to reassure him that he only has eyes for him before turning his hazel eyes to the guest.
"Umm... Hi,I'm Luciano. Welcome." Luciano tried to tone down his embarrassment and stutter while introducing himself.
Azrael on the side did not seem pleased at all so he possessively wrapped his hand around his mate's waist.
"Calm down tiger,I'm not flirting with him. I think I see he's even carrying your offspring so no." Alekzaviá said so casually like he didn't shock Luciano, again.
"He's a seer,just like Julian's a clairvoyant." Azrael tried to explain but Luciano felt that he needed a clearer explanation. So he just gave his mate the look that told him 'we have to talk about it later' and Azrael replied with a nod.
"So, Xavier,how about we join the rest?"
