I still had never realized what the green flame on the top part of the core was. I watched it from up close but sadly there was nothing I could even closely compare it to. I tried touching the flames but nothing physical had any effect on it at all.
I spread my will onto it, just a little bit though, when my will came into contact with it, my will just suddenly vanished, completely disappearing.
'It has something to do with will then,' I thought to myself in realization of their link.
Using a tonne of will, i spread the will around the flames of the orb, When it closed in on the flame, i was hit by sudden cluster of thoughts that were not mine, they looked to be that of a spider, the more my will went round it the more of it's memories I gained. Once all the green flame was almost over, the remaining flames of it formed an ethereal outline of the spider before I had killed it.
I filed my will in what was remaining of it and it disappeared.
I stood their normal but a few seconds later I began experiencing some light headedness and the next thing I knew, I was on the ground.
I woke up in the dark space, there the figure was there.
'What brings you here, I don't think you will get hurt this time so I wonder what could have sent you here,' the figure said to Aldin.
'I didn't, I just suddenly fell, I have no idea what happend to make me like this,' I said.
'What is the last thing you did before falling?' The figure asked and I tried recalling the time before I fell.
'I just covered my will over some flames that only I could see on a beast core and this happened, did I do anything wrong?' I asked after recalling the events that happened some time before I fell.
'Oh my goodness, I never thought this would happen,' the figure said.
'Is there anything wrong that I did,'
'Yes, and was that beast in the legendary tier?' the figure asked.
'Yes, how did you know?' I asked.
'Because beasts develops sentience in the legendary tier, what you just did right now is devouring the soul flame of the beast, and unprepared. I don't have much time but this is what you are going to do is meditate, but you will constantly be assaulted by the beast, it will regularly attack you, especially when you are at your weakest, when the time comes you will find yourself in your mental space then you will need to use your will to devour it,' the figure said.
'Is there no other way of dealing with it?' I asked.
"There is but it holds more risk, you will need to meditate and open…." The figure said but I was taken away before he could finish.
I found myself in a white space, it seems to have no end to it.
Something suddenly hit me. I looked back to see the spider I had beaten just a few days ago, i expected more of it but it was as tiny as regular spider, if had spat poison on me, the poisonous aura, is this what he said would bother me? I fired fire aura and used devourer's touch together, the spider vanished in a second.
I woke up the next second on the floor of my work area. The crystal in front of me now did not have any green flames on it.
'i'll have to put a rest to anything to do with that giant spider,' i thought, it had caused me a problem enough and I did not need any more.
Tired from the past couple of hours I made it back to bed. I crawled onto mine and in seconds I was gone.
I dreamt something weird ,it was the perspective of the spider. I was unable to wake up from the dream, and within that dream I saw all its life, through its eyes saw the world in a new light.
In the dream I saw how it evolved to its prime and all the battles it had fought to get there.
When I woke up, I was still in bed but my whole body was drenched in sweat and covered the whole bed. I cleaned up my bed as I got up, the two men were still asleep.
"What was all that?" I said to myself as I got up.
'What happened when I devoured the beast will, did I just integrate with a beast, am i half beast. I formed a mirror on the wall, as I looked at myself i did not notice anything odd at all with my body, that was until I saw the two holes on my wrist, on closer inspection it looked like a pore and the tips of my fingernails had a green shade to them that was entirely new to me. when I gasped I also noticed the fangs on my jaw and also how slim I had become, i may have actually integrated with the spider, the question was where it was a good or bad thing, did it make me as wild as they were or was i still going to be the same as I was.
For a couple of seconds I was in a state of shock. I got up after a while in daze and went to make some food. I was starving. When I took The first bite I could feel a new taste to it, it wasn't bad, just new. I swallowed it down but as I did there was almost nothing I could feel. I took another bite of the food and it was the same I spit it out on a marble plate. It was green and vanishing, jt turned to liquid and mana in and instant.
'I really did evolve,' I thought to myself as the reality of my situation hit me.
"I am no longer the same," I said to myself devastated.
For the next couple of minutes I was in self depression before I began cheering myself up.
"This is cool, I might not fully human anymore but I am still not a monster, I am just abilitated differently," I said to myself in joy, in a few seconds the food that was on the plate was down my stomach despite knowing that I was adding venom to it in my mouth to break it down. I left a note for the two so that when they woke up, they would know where I had gone.
I opened up a path for myself and left for the surface, when i looked over on the direction I and giant spider had battled, grass was now already grown covering the bare ground and trees had also sprouted/
'The growth rate in these woods is insane,' I thought to myself marveling at how fast the ecosystem was already restoring itself.
'How about I play around with aura and try mixing it up, I can pick up Adam and continue it once i get the hang of it,' I thought
The first ability I tried was becoming fluid using water to cover me and fly through the sky. I flew so fast that I found It hard to believe I was capable of doing it.
After some fun, I came down in the end and used the rest. For fire aura I applied it on water and then poured it on the rock and the rock broke apart, the light aura was what I had some trouble finding to do with it, I broke of a branch from a tree and after applying some light aura into it, the branch began regrow it's branch once again, this was now going to play a big role in my battles. For the earth aura, I simply filled it into a branch d with that branch I was able to break down a tree.
After looking into my aura a little more and testing out a little I moved on to beating beasts, it was at that time that the sun began rising, I busked in the morning sun enjoying its warmth.
'I should probably add some light to my cave, all that artificial light might not be good for my health, I should add in some light.
Walking around the woods, I came upon a giant bore feeding on some grass, it turned to me in rage for whatever reason it was and fired it fire at me, I blocked it with a simple light shield enhanced by earth aura and then fired at it with water vapor filled with fire attributed aura, the beast broke down in pain as it began breaking apart, it was took hard to watch it and so I killed it instantly to take away the sense of pain it was felling.
'Is this how deadly aura is,' I thought, realizing what power I now held.
