The comms clicked off and Mark's tattoo glowed a dull golden light as he sent out many of the birds around the island to keep an eye on what was going on at the cave as well. Once he was sure that they would warn him of any trouble, Mark turned back to look at Megumi only to see that she had a look of irritation in her eyes. Even with her impassive face, Mark could tell that she was not happy about the fact that he had ignored her while talking to someone else.

The blade pressing down on Mark's gauntlet shifted a little, and Mark was quick to react as he turned his gauntlet to the side and avoided the slash that Megumi tried to use to take off his arm! Mark laughed! The crazy bitch wasn't joking around!
