Before Mark could think more about that, he was suddenly assaulted with a loud sound like metal grinding on stone as the monsters came through the darkness and spilled into the cavern like a tsunami! There were hundreds of them and Mark could literally feel the nervousness from the people around him as they all saw the monsters.
Mark could only describe the monsters as rabid zombies. They were all shriveled up with dried skin and protruding bones, but there was no doubt that they were humanoid creatures. They had milky white eyes and black nails that gleamed in the dim light of the cavern.
Mark immediately tried to use True Sight on the monsters, but he cursed as he remembered that he hadn't picked that skill to use. He was going to have to go in blind then!
"Yarghhhh!!!"
