The insistent ringing of my phone was starting to tick me off.
One would think it was from someone who cared about me, but it was from reporters all over the world.
The news headline had read, "After a failed marriage, the Stark eldest daughter had end up with billionaire bachelor, Zayn Steele, talk about plot twist"
Yeah I am now more popular than Aurora due to a tiny little mistake. Appearing at a restaurant with Zayn, because I had been crying my eyed out over wanting ice cream, was on my period and was utterly exhausted that I didn't even notice the secret cameras. Even Zayn was surprised when he saw the news.
Nothing he could do seem to have stop the news, everyone was on and off about it. Women crying that their crush was with another woman, a forgotten discarded heiress.
Like can you imagine, I was given such a weird nickname, the Stiller. According to them it's the combination of killer, killing girl dreams and stealing girls men. Because I stole Jaxon from my sister now I have stolen their man, Zayn.
Now the reporters are talking about how I got dropped from working as an assistant designer in my own company which was stolen from me, on the brink of getting disowned and bringing up matters from my past. School issues, yet they were still calling my phone to get the latest news.
Gosh the Internet is so annoying.
I took off my shade and mask, tucking it into my purse as I walked down the hallway of the grand famous retreat in Sanford, Europe. Owned by none other than, Zayn Steele. I had just stepped into the building when a man in a white button down shirt with trousers, step forward.
He politely nodded at me, "Miss Stark, please this way, he is waiting for you"
I was hesitant at first, but then again Zayn would not want me to get into trouble in his own retreat. It's been two weeks since the issue with Hailey, she had not reached out and from what I heard she had taken over my position at the fashion house.
I was glad that Zayn had given me a home to cry out my eyes and eat more ice cream, but today he had called me out to meet him at the rooftop of this building.
The Elysium Haven - a luxurious retreat owned by him. offering exclusive access to the wealthy. It features a pristine pool area with cabanas and poolside service, a gourmet restaurant serving exquisite cuisine, a spa, and private lounges for socializing and networking among the elite.
It was a beautiful place that I had always hope to go, but selling two kidneys would not even have gained me membership. Except Aurora though, she had a membership. Daddy's girl.
But now here I was. The retreat was lively, people moving about but that didn't concern me anyways. See Zayn and then walk out.
Finally reaching the rooftop, I had to follow through a glass door that was designed to open up to a blue pool.
Two people were guarding outside the door, when they saw me, one of them, the bald man, opened the door to let me in.
I thought I was going to have to get checked at first but seeing the way they had let me in, seems I am trusted.
The shade was able to stop the sun from literally blinding my eyes, but it wasn't enough to stop the Adonis I saw swimming in the pool. He emerged from the water like a Greek god, his bronzed skin glistening in the sunlight. His dark bathing trunks clung to his body, accentuating every sculpted muscle and curve.
As he climbed out of the pool, droplets of water cascaded down his chiseled torso, highlighting the defined lines of his abs in a way that made my heart race. His trunks stuck to his body like a second skin, leaving little to the imagination and causing an involuntary shiver to run down my spine.
Damn, now that's some package.
Veins traced the length of his strong, capable hands, adding to the allure of his rugged masculinity. With each step, his broad shoulders rolled back, exuding confidence and power in every movement.
I couldn't tear my gaze away from him, captivated by the sight of this epitome of male perfection before me.
"Enjoying the view?" His voice cut through the air with a slight smirk on his lips, his eyes glistening from amusement as he approached, wearing only a dark robe that hugged his frame in all the right places.
I swallowed hard, trying to compose myself as I tore my gaze away from his captivating presence. "Um, yeah," I stammered, feeling heat rise to my cheeks. "I mean no,"
He chuckled softly, the sound sending a pleasant shiver down my spine. "It's okay to enjoy the view, darling. I know I am hot," then he directed at a chair beside the pool
I gritted my teeth, he really had no shame. Shameless hot billionaire. Tch. I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
He sat down on one of them and I followed suit. I cautiously stole a glance at him, only to catch his gaze on me as well.
I cleared my throat, trying to fill up the awkward silence. "Did you want to talk to me because of the news circulating around?" I started.
"You are nervous…calm down." He said, his eyes watching my every move.
I gave him a faint smile. "I know, I mean, everyone is assuming on the internet that we are together..."
Zayn's eyes sparkled with mischief. "What if we make it true?" he suggested casually.
I blinked, caught off guard by his suggestion. "What...?" I trailed off, uncertain of what he was implying.
A grin spread across Zayn's face. "What if we actually get married?" he proposed, his tone teasing yet oddly sincere.
