"So, that's the story, my master."
Sitting on a garden bench, Miranda spoke softly before falling silent.
She picked up her coffee cup, taking a sip as she glanced at Leon, who looked dazed, as if he still couldn't comprehend what she had just said.
After five minutes of silence, Leon snapped out of his daze and took a deep breath, looking at Miranda.
"Can you give me a minute to process what you just said?" Leon inquired, his voice sounding heavy and a little hesitant.
"Of course, my master. I understand; it must be very difficult for you to accept a reality that is completely different from what you believe," Miranda replied softly, gently placing her coffee cup back on the saucer and giving him a caring look.
Leon nodded, leaned back, and closed his eyes, continuing to digest what Miranda had just explained.
To be honest, what Miranda had just explained about the 7,000-year history was incredibly hard for Leon to believe.
