"Tang Xiuying!", a woman in her late forties shouted upon seeing the young man. "Tang Hong, Tang Gong, come out. Your cousin is here.", she called out to her children.
"Brother!", Hong screamed and went to hug him. He is a year younger while his brother Gong is two years older than Tang Xiuying.
"Tang Xiuying, you're indeed back.", his older cousin said and gave him a hug. "How was the journey back home?"
"Why, you knew of him returning?", their mother asked.
"Xiuying sent a letter to father.", Gong answered.
"Oh okay. Let's go inside. Your father will be back for dinner soon.", their mother said.
Tang Yizhen, his uncle, came back before supper.
They were all happily chatting after supper and trying to catch up for the last three years that they have not seen each other, though they exchanged letters.
