"But you never spoke with us on that. Honey, did he talk to you about this perhaps?", his mother asked his dad who also shook his head 'no'.
"No mother, I couldn't even get to talk to you because his cousin had warned me first to tell the village elders of our affair if I cancelled the engagement.",
