"Hurry up," Chan yelled at the driver from the backseat. "He's losing too much blood."
The driver raced down the streets. The SUV was at its limits, but the Chan was tense. Anything could happen, but lucky for Jae Hyun, both the wounds were through and through. He'd been given first aid and he was out of danger, for now.
Not far ahead was a safe house, an unassuming flat between a laundromat and a convenience store. It was hidden so that no one could easily realize that it was a safe house, and for that very reason, it was convenient for such emergencies. It would come in handy, especially now.
The car was driven into park in a rush and the driver was out in a flash, rounding the SUV as the others followed right behind him.
A lackey had already come through the back entrance, fumbling with a bunch of keys to disable the tripwire alarm. The rest had filled at the back, Chan half-carrying and half-dragging Jae Hyun into the house.
