The person Stare's eyes currently fixated on was a young girl with fair skin, fiery-red hair, and deep ice-blue eyes. Despite her stoic expression, her beauty remained radiant. However, the expression on Stare's face as he looked at her suggested he had seen something fearful.
Stare's mind was in turmoil not because of the girl's appearance, but because of the memories she awakened within him.
They abruptly flashed through his mind, making it a tangled mess.
They were memories of people he had been in close relationships with in his past cycles.
Memories he didn't want to delve into at the moment due to their complicated nature.
Stare couldn't pinpoint it, but there was something about the girl he was currently looking at that reminded him of each one of them, something they all had in common.
He couldn't specifically identify what it was, but he knew the Oracle was responsible for creating whatever it was.
He had expected his unsealed memories to provide some leverage against emotional issues like this, but this situation made him feel that was unlikely.
Stare was so lost in thought that he only snapped out of it after Bobby and Joel tapped him repeatedly, surprised by his sudden shift in mood.
They couldn't understand the reason for it. After all, the last event was just him staring at Eleanor Frost-flames, the female Elite among Elites and daughter of one of the Three only Tier V Primes, Frost-flames.
'Could he already be interested in her but giving up due to slim chances of success?' Both Joel and Bobby entertained this thought as the most reasonable explanation for his sudden mood switch. After all, they themselves had felt similarly when they first saw her. Given Eleanor's beauty and incredible ability, such thinking wasn't abnormal.
Unaware of Bobby and Joel's thoughts, Stare cleared his throat uncomfortably, hastily shifting his attention from Eleanor to the girl standing beside her.
This young woman was equally attractive, with brunette hair and captivating amber eyes. Even behind her glasses, the radiance of her eyes remained undiminished.
"Who's she?"
Though Bobby and Joel had intended to sympathize with Stare properly, having experienced similar situations themselves, they simply gave him a knowing nod as Bobby continued to describe the other Elites among Elites.
"That's Ava Osiris Dovain."
"Osiris Dovain?" Stare asked, looking at Bobby with a puzzled expression.
"Yeah, Osiris Dovain, as in the Rector of the Academy."
"Ava is the Rector's only daughter. She's probably the most famous among the others, known not only for her talent as a Prime but also as an innovative mind and successful businesswoman. She opened her first company at the age of eleven, and it's now one of the biggest in the whole central region."
"Unfortunately, she usually avoids public speaking and socializing. She doesn't entertain advances, earning her the nickname 'The Ice Queen.' I'm even a little shocked to see her with the other Elites now."
""Heck, I even heard you have a better chance of awakening a fief by taking an algos than getting her to hold a short conversation. It's a challenge I'm actually looking forward to beating... hopefully," Joel added.
Stare glanced at Ava once more, noticing a frown on her face, and unlike the others, he could instantly recognize her look of boredom.
She reminded him of a character he had encountered in one of his past cycles. This character was exceedingly knowledgeable, perhaps too much so, to the point where almost everything seemed unnecessary or dull to him. He was only stimulated by the prospect of learning new things, but at that stage, there wasn't much left for him to discover.
However, his situation wasn't as dire as Ava's, as he had acquired his knowledge over many years, whereas Ava had already reached that stage despite being this young.
It was the price one paid for knowledge.
So far she was probably the least likely to cause him trouble amongst the group, as long as he doesn't do anything catchy or new in his stay here in the Academy she might not even notice his presence.
Bobby proceeded to introduce the last two Elites among Elites to Stare.
One of them was Ruby Withsworth, a girl with pink hair and pink eyes. She was lightly clinging onto Ava's arm. Unlike the usual impressive beauty of the other two female Elites, Ruby's strength lay in her cuteness. She exuded an excessive cuteness and was the only one among the three ladies who was actually smiling, which only enhanced her charm further.
From what Bobby had told him, she was also from a Major Power-house Family, much like the seer. However, unlike the seer, her case was quite unique.
She was the first in her family to be trained outside their walls, believed to be because she had awakened a power that didn't align with the commonly attributed abilities of her family.
Her family, the Withsworth Powerhouse family, was known for producing Primes with intellectual-related fiefs exclusively. There was no explanation for this anomaly, especially considering the supposed randomness of the Algos. However, Ruby was rumored to be the first to break this pattern, leading her family to choose to train her outside their traditional confines.
As for the last Elite, there was Cel Bolt, an extremely pale boy with black hair and blue eyes. He stood unusually close to Ares, scanning every student that approached Ares wearily, only moving when Ares did the same.
Bobby described him as Ares' shadow, a description that seemed fitting.
Turns out, he wasn't exactly an Elite among Elites, but due to his extreme closeness with Ares, he was eventually given the title as well.
He was known to follow Ares everywhere and wasn't essentially too far off from being his lackey.
Ironically, his father was also the assistant to Ares' father, which probably played a role in his peculiar relationship to Ares.
The crowd of fan students slowly dispersed letting the Elites pass through, they also willingly vacated their front row tables to them.
'Yeah…why come early when you could just become an elite.' Stare sarcastically muttered.
Stare had soon taken his attention off the current Academy idols back to the hall's door.
In the end he was more concerned with finding Y-204. The faster he found him the quicker they could free themselves off the Oracle's Puppeteer strings.
However there still wasn't any sign of him, even after moments.
Soon, the ten-minute deadline had elapsed, and the doors to the cafeteria shut tightly.
Stare's expression grew sullen as he began to doubt whether Y-204 was even in the Academy at this point.
'Did he make a wrong call in his plan?'
