"I think I heard you talking. What were you muttering in there?" Lucas asked as Kyra came out of the bathroom. She didn't see Damon, assuming he might have gone outside.
"Nothing," Kyra shook her head, smiling as she looked at him.
She heard the voice in her head again. 'Don't act sad just because Vincent is gone for now. He'll come back, and you'll have to wait for him every year like that. Don't neglect my baby Luca; he needs attention too.'
Kyra realized something as she looked at Lucas. His eyes were filled with sadness, and he looked stressed. She felt a pang in her heart seeing him like that.
"Hey," she said softly, stepping closer to him. "Are you okay?"
Lucas tried to smile but it didn't reach his eyes. "I'm fine. Just a lot on my mind."
Kyra took his hand gently and said, "I know it's hard with Vince in hibernation, but we still have each other. I'm here for you, Luca. Always."
