Chapter 6: Spirit Amplification I
As the first light of dawn painted the sky in hues of pink and orange, Shawn laced up his shoes and got ready for a morning jog. Shawn's home was located on the outskirts of the town, opened to the vast fields stretching as far as the eye could see. The morning air was crisp, carrying a refreshing smell of moist earth and wet grass.
Shawn's feet rhythmically touched the road that led to the open fields. Cool breeze brushed against his face and made his hair flutter. The surrounding fields covered in a light curtain of mist added a touch of scenic beauty to the landscape.
Shawn had been practicing Qi Manipulation for the last 5 days. Currently he had accumulated more than 70,000 wisps of Qi, only a little away from reaching the peak of Body Tempering Realm. Furthermore, he had also been practicing Qi Manipulation for atleast 6 hours everyday. Right now, he could complete a single rotation in a minute. However, if he wanted to quicken it any further, he'd have to break through to the next realm. He is now increasing the amount of Qi moved in every rotation. As of now, he is only able to safely move 5 wisps in the designated time limit set by the System.
Today, Shawn had come out to jog. Since cultivation is basically the accumulation lf energy over time, it got very tedious and monotonous very fast. So, he wanted to get out of his room and touch some grass for a change of pace. Moreover, this was also a chance for him to familiarise with his strength as well as learn a few more skills based on Spirit Manipulation. According to the system, the skill he will learn now is Spirit Amplification.

As it is clearly seen, Spirit Amplification an invaluable combat technique for any cultivator. To learn it, one must have a certain mastery in manipulating Qi. The bare minimum is to be able to move 5 wisps in less than 3 minutes, so Shawn is more than qualified to try his hand at the technique. Since, Spirit Amplification is primarily a cmbat technique, Shawn decided it was best if he practised it in an open space since he didn't want to tear a hole through the wall of his bedroom. Right now, it was 5 in the morning and not many people were up so it was the best time to train his otherworldly abilities.
Sometime later, Shawn reached the fields. But he didn't stop, instead he kept running toward the bug Oak tree at the center of it. The tree about 20 meters tall, the trunk was around 2 meters in diameter and the canopy of leaves spread in a radius of 15 meters from the trunk. Growing up, this was Shawn's favourite place to come when he was feeling bored, had no one to play with or if he was sad. There are not many kids around his age in the neighbourhood. So most of the time, he was alone. He would just sit under the canopy of leaves, listen to the birds chirp and doze off.
Now that he was looking at it again, he felt nostalgic even though he kast saw it a few days ago.
"Well then, let's start off our first training session, System. It's about time I trained for real combat." Saying that, Shawn's eyes were filled with resolve and determination. No sign of the precious melancholy visible in his eyes.

Hearing the System's indifferent voice, Shawn was confused. He didn't understand what it meant by the term 'new body'. He asked for more information, but the System told him to see for himself. Still perplexed, the young cultivator decided to do the first thing that came to his mind.
'Whoosh~' Facing the tree, Shawn punched the air infront of him. He didn't know what he was expecting to happen, but what he saw shocked him to the core. A twig dangling from the cover of leaves broke off an fell down.
