Chapter 3 - Chapter titles are useless

As Long Zhantian thought about the power he could wield in the future, a grin slowly began to appear on his face. "Even though I may wield great power in the future, I still have a long path ahead of me," he thought as the grin vanished from his face. "System, how do I cultivate these so-called Celestial Shadow Arts?"

[Transmitting: Celestial Shadow Arts]

[Host is advised to cultivate till the 4th Stage of the Spirit Gathering Realm before leaving the Sect Grounds]

After receiving a huge amount of information on how to cultivate the technique, Long Zhantian needed a moment to gather himself. After doing so, he realized the second part of what the system had told him.

"The fourth stage? Are you kidding me??? The previous me or me from this world or whatever you may call it lived in this sect for so long, yet he still wasn't able to reach past the first stage..."

[The Celestial Shadow Arts are an extraordinary technique. Attempting to cultivate with a mediocre technique can hinder even the most talented individuals from reaching their full potential.]

[Therefore, the Host should not worry.]

Long Zhantian sighed, smiling at his own foolishness. For a moment, he wanted to punch himself, but then quickly decided against it, as he still needed to understand his newly gained comprehension. Long Zhantian began to concentrate on his surroundings, trying to feel the Qi in the air. This was not a hard feat for him since he had technically already started his cultivation journey. Slowly starting to guide the Qi into his body, Long Zhantian felt a long-lost feeling of refreshment. He didn't notice it himself yet, but he had never truly felt refreshed ever since arriving in this world. With his thoughts distracted, he quickly lost control of the Qi, seemingly rushing into his body.

"FUCK THIS, THIS HURTS EVEN MORE THAN DYING," he screamed inwardly, since he didn't even have the strength to speak, let alone to scream. Within seconds, his body felt like it was being squeezed into a vice, and every muscle fiber was screaming out in pain. He could do nothing other than endure the pain while the Qi continued to rush into his body. After what felt like an eternity, he finally stopped moving forward and fell face first onto the ground, unable to move any further.

Long Zhantian slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying on the floor with numerous people standing around him. The people around him all looked elderly, with the exception of one man who sat near the corner of the room, not caring about the boy on the floor at all. To Long Zhantian's shock, every single one of these persons wore black robes with a golden embroidered phoenix, which let him know of their identities as elders of the Blazing Sun Sect.

One of the elders, a grizzled and stern-looking man, stepped forward and demanded to know what had happened. Long Zhantian struggled to explain what had occurred, but eventually managed to recount his experience with the surge of Qi. The elder listened intently, his expression growing darker with each passing moment. He suspected that Long Zhantian had tapped into forbidden cultivation techniques, and that his recklessness could have severe consequences for the sect and the outside world.

After a long moment of silence, the elder spoke: "Your actions put many in danger, disciple. We cannot allow such recklessness to go unpunished." Long Zhantian pleaded with the elder: "I didn't mean to cause any harm, Elder. I merely wanted to increase my cultivation." The elder was unmoved:

"We will investigate this. Until then, you are to be imprisoned in one of the Cultivation Chambers. Even if we find you to be innocent, you must remain there until you reach the second stage of the Qi Gathering Realm. We cannot have a disciple as weak as you."

"I didn't do anything wrong, Elder," he tried to reason, but was promptly interrupted. "Quiet! You've been part of this sect for longer than most Inner Court disciples, yet you're still the weakest in the entire Outer Court."

Hearing this the young elder in the corner of the room fixated his eyes on Long Zhantain.

After what felt like an eternity to Long Zhantian the young man took his eyes of him and the pressure around him was lifted.

'F*CK this guy is really powerful' Long Zhantian thought as he slowly rose from the ground, trying to suppress the urge to vomit, his body felt like it was filled with fire.

"Can I leave now?" He asked the elder.

"No, I will bring you to the Cultivation Chamber. You are forbidden from leaving the Sect Grounds for 30 days. If you wish to prove your innocence, then spend those 30 days attempting to reach the second stage of the Qi Gathering Realm. After that, we shall take a look at your Qi and decide whether or not you have done anything wrong."

Long Zhantian nodded, knowing that there was very little he could do. Turning around, he saw the young man looking at him with an amused gaze.

'What is wrong with this guy?' he thought 'Is he laughing at me? F*ck you'

Noticing the little staring contest between Long Zhantian and the young Elder, the Elder who had done all the talking previously hurriedly spoke "Young one, come here!" Heeding the elders words Long Zhantian walked next to him. Suddenly both of them disappeared but none of the elders had any change in expression.

In front of the Cultivation Chambers of the Blazing Sun Sect, two cultivators suddenly appeared: a boy with blue eyes and long black hair wearing a torn robe that looked like it could fall apart at any moment, and an elderly man wearing a robe identifying him as an elder of the Sect. The Sect Elder walked towards the entrance of one of the cultivation chambers, looked at Long Zhantian with disgust, and said, "Welcome to your new home, trash."

'We didn't even know each other prior to this, old fogey. Why do you make this disgusted expression when looking at me?' Long Zhantian thought.

Walking into the Chamber with the elder shutting the door behind him, Long Zhantian now found himself locked in a room with nothing but a carpet at the floor. The room had wooden accents and overall gave off a quite comforting feeling. Realizing that he had to stay in this room for a month Long Zhantian thought about the first part of the quest that he had received previously, he was supposed to join the Shadow Eminence. Thinking about how he would not even be able to fulfill the first quest he had received from his System he asked 'Will there be a penalty for not fulfilling the requirements of the quest?'

[If the Host has not fulfilled the requirements at the end of given time, the System will unbind itself from the Host since if Host can't fulfill the trial quest]

[The Host's body wouldn't be able to withstand the unbinding which would mean his immediate death]

'What the fuck? Then didn't the stupid Elder basically sign my death certificate?
